Practical storage solution
The Seagate Basic is a solid external hard drive that impresses with its ease of use. The device is light, compact and offers good performance for the price. The only drawback is the somewhat slow data transfer for larger files. Overall, however, it is a reliable product for everyday storage requirements.

Slow, default formatting not to use.
Have this external HDD running on a Synology NAS as a backup. Copying was miserably slow. Only after reformatting to Ext4, the disk could show an acceptable performance. And even here we are talking only about max. 30 MB / s...
If you need a fast disk you better look for other manufacturers (Silicon Power etc.).Pro

Top product, poor packaging
The plate is top.
Unfortunately, it was delivered in a much too large package and was loose in it!
Fortunately I do not bruache them for important data, otherwise I would return this.

Perfect backup
I am absolutely satisfied with the Seagate Basic hard drive. It couldn't be easier to use - simply drag and drop data. The compact and lightweight design makes it ideal for travelling. No need to install additional software was a big plus, plus it's reasonably priced with solid performance.

5TB: Very good model
When copying an old hard disk under Linux using "dd", the write speed was > 60MB/s

Reliable and therefore inconspicuous
I haven't used the two new HDs intensively yet, but have had good experiences with the same type for a long time. As I only need them for backing up, I can't say anything about the access speed.

As expected, stable quality
I use the drive as a backup for my TerraMaster NAS. Previously, a backup took almost a week, today, including plausibility check, just under 2 days. With over 1.5 TB of pictures and over 500 GB of films, various data and mobile backups, this is a positive experience.

Works perfectly.......
This small 4 TB Seagate is used as a backup drive for a Synolgy NAS. It remains to be seen how long it will withstand continuous operation. But I'm happy to be surprised.

Nothing to complain about (if it lasts)
Connected to a Samsung TV since the price of replay is now exorbitant in Switzerland; I will only be fully satisfied if it lasts me at least 10 years...
