Documentation in French, but unlike the picture which has a QWERTZ keyboard, the keyboard received is an AZERTY.
Nothing in the description gives any indication about the FR keyboard instead of a CH

Needs only a monitor or TV with HDMI input. Plug together according to instructions - set settings at 1st start - then everything runs.
High picture quality with full HD (1920x1080p) and 4K (3840x2160).
HDMI cable is too short for a reasonable distance to the TV - but with good 4K transmission quality.
Internet via network cable and/or wifi works instantly. Video streaming in good quality with good network connection.
Manual includes programming tutorial - suitable for kids and teens.

I am completely satisfied, with small wishes under "disadvantages" and point.

It's a pity that to get the French manual you have to support the Azerty keyboard
As I discovered that the Philips Hue hub has a dAPI set and that the Raspberry has a python library to access it, I thought I could have some fun

I'm using it to watch my films in mirror mode on a Chromecast dongle plugged into my video projector, just that the sound is bluetooth, so you need to have an audio system for that.I have been using pc's with windows for years and frankly the raspberry desktop is quite easy to understand even for a beginner.

The P400 was for a birthday present for a colleague. Now the box is crushed?
Nah, that's great, so I can't make snow with it.
I have now ordered an extra one from the competitor BRK.
What a pity. You should actually get a credit note for something like that.
What a pity.
At least the P400 runs cleanly. I'll keep it for myself now...

I returned the item used and realised when unpacking that the seller had unfortunately not sent the mini HDMI cable and the microSD. After briefly contacting Digitec support, I received an original Raspberry Pi mini HDMI cable and 3 (three) microSD cards + adapter with pre-installed OS free of charge at lightning speed.
Megalieb, many thanks for the effort!

Perfect starter kit for the little noob wanting to fly not too far from the moon. Even though the article is clearly designer DE, it's a bit disappointing to see that even the manual isn't translated, the basic configuration can be tricky when you master 4 different languages but not the right one :(

The Raspberry PI works well, except for the WIFI network, which is a little weak.

Very good kit, with everything you need. - As I had just bought the kit once and the Raspi 400 standalone once (wrong purchase!): - Without the kit you have trouble a) getting the right charger ("normal" USB chargers don't deliver enough power!!) and b) the HDMI to HDMI micro cable ("normal" HDMI plugs don't fit into the Raspi 400). - The starter kit worked great for my little big cousins. - You just have to make sure to plug the Micro-HDMI connector into the socket right next to the SDXC card! (There are two of them). - In principle, you should always use the Raspi 4 with a good heat sink (otherwise it will throttle the performance) - I don't know how good this is with the Raspi 400. On the other hand, this is probably not an issue with the target group. :-)
(Classic use is: For "little ones" with "gcompris" - for "older ones" with "Scratch" to learn programming ... then at some point show the children Python based on Scratch...)

Really cool part, unfortunately not very easy to set up for child-friendly use (time limit, website whitelist,...)

Unlike bare RPi board this one is safe to "touch". All you need to start is SD card with RPiOS (could have been in a kit, given the price tag), micro-to-normal HDMI cable and some power adaptor with USB-C cord (any mobile charger should fit). Optionally - USB mouse.
I'd recommend RPiOS - it seems to be more responsive compared to Ubuntu. And on it one can install Visual Studio Code!
Browser performance is a pain. 4 cores at 1.5 GHz and such a pain in a result? What a shame (mostly for browser developers).
PS: Given current situation (2022'08), this one seems to be the cheapest available RPi4...

Incredibly easy to install, much better than the PI3. Great device for tinkering, playing and experimenting.
