Buy recommendation!
The QNAP TS-251+ surprises with a variety of functions, which hardly leaves anything to be desired. I chose exactly this NAS because of the fully integrated video management software (Surveilance Station), which, once installed, integrates IP cameras from various manufacturers without any problems, as well as the routing of the cameras via the WEB to mobile devices works great and with full PTZ functionality! Of course, the NAS also acts as a backup station for the various PCs and notebooks in the household, as a cloud server, I have already also installed WIN7 and a LINUX virtual on the NAS and there are many more apps waiting to be installed. What must be said clearly, even if the advertising and many computer magazines with their tests suggest that the NAS is installed with two three clicks, this is not so. Without in-depth knowledge of networking / computer technology, the many functionalities can not be installed, at least I have already invested hours to the current state of installation. Nevertheless, the TS-251+ is an absolute buy recommendation and who really wants to use the various functionalities of this device is well advised to buy the best performing models from QNAP with strong processors and lots of RAM.

Great features and easy to use. The HDMI port makes it possible to connect directly to the TV if it is not network capable.
Trouble-free setup, runs flawlessly, use as Plex media server.
Insert the discs, start the setup and it runs.
