Commissioning:
It makes sense to use the wizard for the Internet connection. What you need to know: Where is the WPF button on the router? What is the name of my WLAN?
Favourites:
Channel storage is very good, intuitively solved: hold preset button -> select place -> confirm.
Internet radio:
Contrary to my previous experiences, this is a real highlight! Without registering, you can find the stations you want after a few seconds.
DAB / FM:
Automatic search the first time. You have to pull out the antenna, otherwise the unit won't find everything. For my stations, I don't need the antenna to listen.
Display:
Firmware (software) is suboptimal.
1st brightness. No separation between operation and standby. Operation = bright <--> Standby = bright. Standby = off <--> operation = off (after time-out). A glaring engineering design flaw.
2. transmitter log displayed PERMANENTLY. Uses approx. 1/3 of the available display space. Thus little space for text --> much too small font!
Sound:
A bit bass-heavy for speech, good for music. The equaliser has only a very minimal influence.
Volume:
Levels 1 to 32 of the control are fine and regular across the range. The normal volume for me is between 12 and 15.
Miscellaneous:
- Standby to DAB/FM: almost instantaneous.
- Standby to Internet: a few seconds (WLAN without permanent connection).
- Start from standby: always last station.
- Start-up process power supply plugged in until standby: approx. 7s.
- Unit retains ALL information with power off.
Suggestions to Philips:
1. make better use of display with larger font.
2. additional brightness selection for standby (OFF!).
3. volume, mute button: ON / MUTE / OFF
4. equalizer. Instead of "Warm", "Bright", etc. two values -50 to +50 for highs/ lows. This would really give the user something to say about the sound.
Conclusion:
The device works about as expected. One can live with shortcomings.
Sorry, 2000 characters are not enough for a reasonable review, digitec!

I cannot recommend this device.
The music is narrow-band.
The built-in equaliser does not perform remarkably well.
No bass.
Just enough for listening to music in the toilet.
The radio has a solid build quality and is compact. The sound quality and connection to Spotify is limited. As the radio requires a phone or tablet to listen to Spotify, there is no additional benefit compared to a Bluetooth speaker

the device is practical, you can't expect much but it does what it should.
I have it in my holiday flat and it's enough for me to listen to music via DAB (if reception) or via internet radio.
