Very handy sonic toothbrush from Philips.
I am very pleased with the toothbrush, the design is very elegant, and in the scope of delivery it has many accessories.
Unfortunately, the brush attachments are very expensive.

I don't understand the hype!
Ok, the combination of toothbrush and app definitely gives a glimpse of what the future may look like. But unfortunately, implementation is unreliable and with many flaws
- Clean / rework mode change does not work reliably.
- No other modes
- No possibility to interrupt the cleaning process
- No possibility to extend the process
- You need the phone / app at hand, the toothbrush itself should be able to store data
- Gum health not well supported
- Prerequisites of the teeth not well supported
And more.
The high price is unfortunately not worth the hype. With less expensive toothbrushes you are better off.
Too bad
P.S must subsequently double again: The price / performance ratio is a cheek. I also do not understand all the positive reviews. A small test: I brush the teeth in a completely different place than specified by theApp: the display cleans fresh cheerful at the specified place, so not where effectively clean ....

Can be paired, but is not recognised in the app. Exchanged the phone and started again, after several attempts it worked. I tried it with the Samsung S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra and A71. A Diamondclean 9000 connects immediately, only the Prestige brush has such problems and the firmware was already the latest from delivery.... One star because of the frustration factor....

I don't understand the positive comments either!!! I have the Diamond 3000 and the Prestige - the Diamond lasts a week longer!!!
The Prestige battery sucks and gives no warning. Price-performance ratio a cheek. I recommend the predecessor. The app is also very good marketing - it doesn't really check where and how exactly you clean. Very disappointing....

I got this toothbrush from Philips for testing and I won't give it back.
Even when unpacking the toothbrush has pleased me. It is nobly processed and lies well in the hand. The buzzing sound is very quiet, so you do not get a headache from it The connect with Android went very quickly and without problems. Since I have exposed tooth necks, the brush head was too hard for me. No problem...since all of Phillips are interchangeable I took one from my previous model and off I went. Brushing is very pleasant and with the app you can see where you need to brush again. The teeth feel nice and clean afterwards.

I was allowed to test the toothbrush free of charge as part of a product test. At the beginning I found the use of the toothbrush a little uncomfortable, because it has extremely tickled the gums and lip. But after a few days you get used to it.
I have the feeling that the tooth surface has become smoother through regular brushing.
The battery has only lasted about a week, which I find a little little. The settings / programs can only be set via the app. But you can set personal priorities for cleaning teeth there. Through the app, you learn to clean the teeth even more accurately and can the feedback / improvement suggestions next time.
For that, the app tells you when it's time to replace the little brush. I like that the toothbrush is extremely quiet.
The included case is nice to have, but not necessary.

After exactly 8 months, the vibrations became stronger and stronger until the linkage holding the brush came loose. Toothbrush broken.
It vibrated inside and made strange noises.
I sent it back. Could take over 4 weeks according to the email I received.
Luckily my neighbour works in a toothbrush factory and had got 1 pack of toothbrushes. It cost me 0 francs and I can definitely clean my teeth with it for over a year.
So to compare price/performance 😅

The Sonicare 9900 Prestige cleans teeth powerfully yet gently. The operation is easy to have hand and there are various functions selectable via the touch button on the toothbrush and in its own app. Personally, I do not necessarily need an app for brushing teeth, but it is exciting to try out the functions contained therein. The charging station is small and therefore space-saving, but the materials are not extremely high quality for the price of the toothbrush. The wireless glass charging station of the DiamondClean 9000, for example, I feel more exclusive than that of the now tested. All in all, in any case, a technological eye-catcher and also the design can be very nice to look at. The price is at the upper limit, but such toothbrushes renowned top brands are, according to my experience so far, very durable and therefore worth the invested. The toothbrush was made available to me through a free product test.

I bought 2x the same product for me and my wife, 1x in black, 1x in pink.
Her toothbrush broke after a few months. Somehow the "pin" where the toothbrush is put on dislocated. When you switch it on, it makes noises like a devil's exorcism. Great job by Galaxus and replaced without any problems.
Well, now my toothbrush has been affected. Same problem as described above and now a warranty case has been opened.
At this price range, I expect a more solid product, especially when you spend CHF 600+ for both products.
Addendum 3 months later:
Now the replacement product has been affected: the handpiece vibrates very strongly, but the toothbrush head does not. In addition, when it is switched on, it again makes noises as if Saruman were coming up the stairs.

Very good electric toothbrush, great design, but why do they include a USB-A to USB-C cable? At this price, a C to C should be included. The chargers with USB-A are becoming fewer and fewer. So I have to take 2 chargers with me, which is a shame.

The main advantage of the brush would be SenseIQ, so that it recognises where you are cleaning and how well. But it doesn't work at all, sometimes the brush just stops in the middle of cleaning. Complete waste of money, unfortunately I can't recommend it (price-performance ratio). There are other good Sonicare toothbrushes.

The toothbrush was fine for about 6 months, then started turning off by itself during brushing cycles.
Galaxus took it back, and said it needs to be examined and the costs of examining it will be charged to the customer.
Oh yeah, software malfunctions are not covered here either, so if it is software, you are going to have to pay for that repair, and you do not have a choice, it is whatever price Galaxus chooses to charge you

Controls very well and cleans very well. Sometimes the app does not show all the cleaned areas, but then you have to re-clean. Also checks if you clean 2 times a day.

I am thrilled with the toothbrush. It looks not only very slim and modern, but is extremely pleasant to handle. It can be conveniently set to the toothbrush three intensity levels so that the desired intensity can be selected for every taste. The battery has kept me on trips with intensive use and at the highest level over 10 days. With the noble travel of leather, the toothbrush can also be conveniently charged and transported on the go with USB-C. At home in the bathroom, the toothbrush can be charged on a plain charging plate. I'm also excited about the app. It's a bit of a gimmick and I don't know if you use it every time you brush your teeth either. However, I feel like it makes me brush my teeth much more systematically than without the app. The statistics and evaluations are great and give information about non-optimal brushing behavior. All in all: Super toothbrush with beautiful design

I was able to put the Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige through its paces as a product tester for a few weeks. What struck me first is the high-quality workmanship of the toothbrush. It is elegantly designed, fits well in the hand and feels extremely high quality. The supplied case, which can also be used as a charging station, I particularly liked. Especially when traveling very practical and can be conveniently charged via USB. Not so good I liked the charging station, on which Philips could still work something ;) In the most important point of all, the brushing, the toothbrush shines but again. The first two sessions were still something to get used to, probably because of the fast rotating brush head. After that, however, the brushing felt very pleasant and quickly went to the routine. The app to the brush I have tried as a tech fan of course also immediately. The displayed cleaning areas / times are cool and can certainly be helpful for one or the other, so also the general tips. I continue to clean in my usual routine though. What has been helpful, though, is the information if you press too hard or brush too fast. So the app is a nice feature, but not interesting for me. In summary, I am very happy with the product. The teeth feel clean and soft after brushing, and after all, that's the most important thing in a toothbrush!

I love my new Sonicare Prestige 9900! The toothbrush allows an extremely thorough cleaning and still pleasant while brushing. The best thing is actually the corresponding app for the toothbrush, which creates a kind of toothbrush diary and tells you exactly how you should change your brushing habits. The design of the toothbrush is also very convincing. The handy charging station can be left well in the bathroom and can be cleaned well thanks to the practical attachment.

As part of a product test, I was allowed to test the Sonicare 9900 Prestige (HX992/12) from Phillips for free.
Setting up and connecting the toothbrush with the Sonicare APP worked easily. The toothbrush has a very nice, modern design. I personally liked the Sense IQ technology as it measures your movements and pressure while brushing in real time and then syncs that data with the app. This feature has helped me brush with much less pressure, as the toothbrush displays a red light signal when the pressure is too firm. Included in the package is a small space-saving charging station. I also particularly like the design and the slim size of the USB travel charging case, as I often travel. With this toothbrush you can achieve good results in my opinion. For this you can also find several videos and info in the app with which you can brush more effectively.

I have the toothbrush now for about two weeks in use and am very satisfied.
Visually, I like it very much. The noble travel case, with which I can charge the toothbrush on the go, is perfect for me, because I now finally take my electric toothbrush with me on trips.
It is also comfortable to hold, even if it is a bit tiring to hold the toothbrush as recommended. But will surely settle with time and practice.
Now to the functions:
The app is quickly downloaded and connected via Bluetooth with the toothbrush. The connection works quickly and smoothly every time. Only if the Bluetooth is interrupted by an update eg a smartwatch, the toothbrush must first be placed back in the charging station to restart the timer when brushing. The teeth are brushed with selectable programs with different intensity and duration, with the intensity can be selected between three levels. I brush with the program for sensitive gums. Takes longer at low intensity and is just right for me. It feels very comfortable and gentle and yet the teeth are fresh and clean after brushing. In addition, I also like that the toothbrush signals in color on the handle when pressing too hard or scrubbing too fast.
Most of the time, the Sonicare recognizes by the location whether front or back brushing. This has only failed 2-3 times so far and can be easily remedied by changing the position of the toothbrush, then the sensor recognizes the alignment again.
I now brush my teeth much more consciously and through the display in the app also more evenly. The battery I have not yet had to recharge and is after two weeks in daily use still at about 30%.
From me there is a clear purchase recommendation.
I received the toothbrush as part of a product test. Philips has no editorial influence on my review.

Overall, I appreciate the Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige and recommend it especially to people who like to travel and, due to the various sensor and app support, also to "switchers" from manual to battery-powered toothbrushes. In details, I see in view of the product positioning but also quite "room for improvement".
The handpiece as well as the exterior of the charging case are of high quality and both are particularly appealing due to their reduced size - compared to a predecessor model from Philips, but also other products. The charging case can be reasonably stored in a common men's toilet bag and can be connected to a mobile phone charger via a common USB-C cable - these are plus points on longer trips.
The app, which can be used via Bluetooth, supports optimal toothbrushing techniques in conjunction with the various sensors. For those switching from non-motorized manual toothbrushes certainly a help at first. In the meantime, however, I brush "old-school" again with the Sonicare, without phone compulsion in the bathroom. The claim to "prestige" is IMHO unfortunately not fulfilled in the design language: "Prestige models" of Philips among themselves do not harmonize: when they stand next to each other, the common manufacturer is the razor S9000 Prestige and the Sonicare 9900 Prestige only recognizable by the Philips lettering.
Again, I am thrilled with the included brush head "A3 Premium All-in-One": the cleaning results feel extremely thorough (the "smooth feeling" on the teeth, like after a visit to the dental hygiene) and despite relatively sensitive gums and periodontal disease, I have yet to complain of any gum irritation (when brushing at "highest level").
Philips provided me with the Sonicare S9900 Prestige free of charge for a product review upon request, with no editorial influence on my review.

I have been using the previous version for 2 years, with which I was very satisfied.
The Sonicare 9900 Prestige is already visually a real eye-catcher. Here the design and functionality is right.
The Prestige is nice and handy and looks very nice. It also lies well in the hand and brushing teeth becomes an experience.
What I particularly liked is the app from Philips. Shows beautifully the weak points when brushing teeth. Was impressive for me.
Also the brush head is top and definitely cleans better than the predecessors!
The charging station is very nicely laid out and does not need as much space as the glass!
Also nice is the included travel case with charging function. However, the brush also runs a few days without charging.
Really a masterstroke of Philips!
