Good product!
Using the Philips Lumea Prestige is very user-friendly and intuitive. The device comes with different attachments that have been specially developed for specific areas of the body such as the face, legs or bikini line. The treatment time varies depending on the area: while the legs took around 10 minutes per side, smaller areas such as the armpits or face are done in just a few minutes. The device works wirelessly and can therefore be used flexibly, which I like
The first visible results were seen after just three applications. What is particularly impressive is that there was no skin irritation, even on sensitive areas such as the face or bikini line. The skin feels soft and smooth, almost like after a professional treatment in a beauty parlour.
The device is relatively light and sits comfortably in the hand, which makes it easy to use even on hard-to-reach areas of the body. Changing attachments works smoothly and the attachments are well labelled so that you know immediately which one to use for which area of the body. Thanks to the cordless function, you are very mobile and don't have to handle a cable. The battery also lasts long enough to treat the entire body in one session without having to recharge the device in between.

Effective and long-lasting hair removal
I have been using the Lumea Prestige for hair removal for two and a half months and am very satisfied overall. In my opinion, the innovative device with IPL technology delivers what it promises when used regularly according to plan. The Philips Lumea IPL app is a great help to me: it offers easy-to-understand step-by-step instructions and creates an individual treatment plan for each body region. The app reliably reminds me of upcoming treatments, which makes it much easier to use.
Thanks to the intuitive operating concept and the various attachments, using the Lumea Prestige is straightforward. I find the gliding mode for larger areas particularly practical. After about six weeks, I have already noticed a significant reduction in hair growth on my legs, arms and armpits. The hair is now growing back finer and sparser. With each treatment there is less and less. Initially I had slight reddening, but this quickly disappeared again.
I think the value for money is reasonable as it saves me expensive professional treatments. The treatments on my legs are a little time-consuming and the device becomes a little harder to hold over time, but I can still recommend the Philips Lumea Prestige to anyone looking for permanent hair removal at home.Simple and effective hair removal
The Philips Lumea Prestige BRI951/01 IPL hair removal device was provided to me by Philips for a product test.
The hair removal device makes a stable and elegant impression when unpacked. In addition to the device, there is also a power supply unit, a total of 4 attachments for different areas of application (one of which is already attached), a storage bag and operating instructions in the sturdy packaging. The device itself is quite heavy, I weighed it at 540 grams.
You should read the operating instructions before use, as they explain the treatment plan in detail as well as providing many warnings.
The device has 4 buttons on the top, the on/off button, a button to set the intensity level lower or higher, a SmartSkin button to automatically determine the appropriate intensity level for a house area and a confirmation button to accept this intensity level. There are also indicators for the currently selected intensity level. A light pulse is triggered via another large button on the handle. It is only triggered when the light emission window is in full contact with the skin. This is indicated by a large indicator light on the back of the device.
The device can be operated both wirelessly and with the mains adapter supplied. The cable has a sufficient length of 2 metres.
After shaving the relevant areas of skin, the sensitivity of the skin should be tested first. If there is no skin irritation after 24 hours, the treatment can be started. In my case, the highest level 5 was suggested by the SmartSkin function and no irritation occurred. You can feel the heat of the flash of light at all levels, but the heat is well tolerated and I didn't experience any pain.
The next day I started the treatment without shaving again. That was a mistake because it smelled a bit like burnt hair. After shaving again, I continued on a test area.
Over the next few days, I noticed that the hair in this area had stopped growing, only a few hairs were still coming out, which according to the instructions is due to the different growth phases of the hair and is normal. For this reason, the first applications should also take place at intervals of 2 weeks, after which only one treatment per month is necessary.
After 2 applications, the hair has reduced massively, so I can attest to the good effectiveness of the Lumea Prestige. The advantage of the device is (almost) pain-free hair removal at home. However, you also need to bring some time with you, as the device needs around 3 to 4 seconds for each light pulse, which can quickly add up to several minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. In return, however, you have peace of mind for quite a long time.Pro

I am amazed at how easy permanent hair removal can be! The application is completely painless, you can only feel that it gets warm briefly in the area where you are using the device. You can see from session to session that the hair growth slows down more and more.

The rose/white design is great, it has something. The Lumea is wireless (treatment is also possible with a cable) and quiet.
It is easy to use and is well explained in several languages.
The first steps (such as the first shave, the tolerance test within 24 hours and charging...) are rarely needed.
The correct treatments should be carried out at shorter intervals at the beginning, every 3-4 days, 2 times a week, then every 4 weeks is sufficient. Later on, treatment is rarely necessary because the hair no longer sprouts and the skin remains smooth.
The treatment with the light is painless, I didn't even feel any warmth on my leg, but there was a slight tingling sensation under my arm. There are 2 levels and 5 light intensities.
I tolerated this treatment really well. It is always quick and even fun. My skin was amazingly soft and smooth afterwards and no hair has grown back yet.
One disadvantage is the battery, it barely lasts for one treatment and unfortunately doesn't show me when it's empty.
You can also work with an app (for the right setting), but I haven't done that.
I love being able to keep my legs hair-free for a long time without irritation or cuts. I also no longer have to suffer under my arms or in my bikini line. I can definitely recommend Philips Lumea, I am very satisfied.Pro

Please tell me what a great device this is. I've had 3 applications so far and what can I say - the hair on my legs and forearms is almost completely gone. I would never have believed that it would work so well. I am actually penalised with black bushes XD on my legs but everything has been washed away. I'm so thrilled because I never thought it would really work. Simply a game changer. But please be careful with tattoos, I accidentally got a piece once and it hurt so bad. I will never give this IPL device away again. The app is also really great. It always reminds you when it's time for the next session.
