I spent several hours looking for the right system. When I discovered this system it was like love at first sight: I had to have it! Why?
Pluses:
+ It's a 2.1 system that can be expanded to a 4.1 system with a flick of the wrist.
+ It looks classy in the living room. High quality with the wood and leather handles as well as the finish.
+ The subwoofer and the two detachable speakers are wireless -> no tangled cables.
+ The wireless speakers can also be taken outside onto the balcony.
+ Charging the speakers is as simple as placing them on the front speakers (left and right cannot even be confused, as left does not fit on right)
+ Sound is powerful enough to watch films or listen to music
+ The sound system is also a "Bluetooth headset", so mobile phones or computers can be used as jukeboxes (use it mainly for Spotify)
+ My Samsung remote control works with the sound system. I don't really need the remote control that comes with it.
Minus points:
- The satellite boxes need to be recharged after about 10h. There is no way to charge them with a stationary cable.
- NFC doesn't work for me, or I don't know how best to use it.
- No display: The LEDs give information about the status of the system. However, it is partly too cryptic for me.
- I wouldn't say that it replaces a 5.1 system or that it would be on a par with it.
- No centre box
Conclusion: Since I wanted to buy a 2.1 system anyway (to avoid cable clutter) and thus got a 4.1 system, I would buy it again. I think the Bluetooth headset option is a hit. The negative points don't bother me so much.
Its brlliant and provides an excellent solution for those who do not want to, or cannot have wires all around their sitting room.
It sounds a million times better than any soundbar i've heard, has plenty of power, great stereo separation from the front two speakers and the two rear speakers work brilliantly.
It also looks gorgeous in cashmere, wood and leather.
It is excellent for listening to music from your iphone or any other blutooth device, maybe a small bit 'bass heavy' but the bass and treble are adjustable via the remote control. The two surround speakers are also portable when listening to music so they can come with you to other rooms in the house, or your balcony or terrace to provide you with an excellent solution when you want your music to be heard everywhere.
Only criticism would be that its possibly a little overpriced but that's up to each individual to decide. If it were a wired system i estimate it would be worth half of its selling price so there's basically a double price slapped on it for the fact that its wireless, that's a very hefty premium.
However, it does seem very well built so hopefully i can enjoy it for many yrs to come which will really make it a worthwhile purchase.
Having said all of the above my unit has a fault with the rear surround left speaker. It rattles/sings and vibrates a little and it seems to be a fault with the tweeter. It is very noticable when watching movies with the volume turned up a bit higher than you would use for regular 'lower volume tv' watching.
This is disappointing as everywhere else it seems to be a very well made piece of kit but seeing as the product was brand new and unopened this has to be a maunfacturers fault and not the fault of digitec.
I have started the process with digitec to have the product replaced. I hope this goes smoothly.

This system is not even worth one star and the Philips company even less.
I've had this system for a few months and had to send it in for repair a few days after buying it. It came back with signs of use and the faults were not all fixed.
Phillips has just delivered software that completely destroys the system.
Please keep your fingers away.
After a few hours of searching, I found this system. Visually very beautiful, good quality materials and very well made. Installation is easy, but unfortunately there is no HDMI cable included and the power cable for the speaker is a bit short.
The operation is not always easy because there is no display and you don't always know what you are doing. There are LEDs, but it is still difficult to understand the flashing information.
The sound quality is very good, although a bit bass-heavy in the default setting. However, this is easily adjustable and of course a matter of taste.
The satellites are ok, but hardly used so far. Only makes sense if it is an appropriate signal. In general, I prefer a good quality stereo sound to a mediocre surround sound.
