Bought the device for our b...
I bought the unit for our office room. The air was always very dry and the air quality was not very good. The price is not cheap, but then I read about the money-back guarantee and saw no risk in testing the device.
I was particularly convinced by the device because it is a combi. It cleans and moisturises. Above all, the cleaning is also done with a Hepa filter and everything larger than 2 micrometres is filtered out (dust, bacteria, fungi, etc.). The humidification is also top notch, I no longer have dry eyes at all and find the air in general much better.Pro

Please note that the dimensions look smaller in the pictures than in reality. Before switching on the unit, all filters (especially the HEPA filter) must be unpacked (I forgot... and the unit vibrated quite a bit). Otherwise the unit runs wonderfully, quiet, night mode is really quiet, in night mode the LED's turn off, unfortunately the water tank is too small... every 6-8h at full power the water tank has to be refilled (or the air is very dry in my case). Power cable is also a bit too short for me (about 1.5m). I have severe hay fever (grasses and birch) and tend to sleep better with the unit running in the bedroom.

I am disappointed by the product. I was expecting a more high-tech product but this looks and feels more like a product from 20 years ago. Not recommended.

Absolute purchase recommendation for all who want to take care of your indoor air or suffer from allergies or asthma.
Very good humidification performance and air purification. However, the water tank is somewhat small, i.e. this must be refilled min. 1 time per day. However, this also has the positive effect that the water does not stand longer than 1 day until this is changed.

Very good device with small weaknesses
I bought the combo unit to humidify the dry air in the winter months, and to filter the fine dust from our fireplace. It does both very well. The efficiency of the activated carbon filter is amazing from my point of view! The air is really circulated and cleaned. You can see it on the pre-filter, what gets stuck there. We definitely have to dust less. Odors are also eliminated. The nasty "day-after" smell of an extensive table barbecue party is no longer present, or almost non-existent. The water tank, however, is definitely too small. During the heating periods, you are constantly refilling it. The drawer of the water tank could also have been placed a bit better and more comfortably. However, I like the simple evaporation system. The "sponge" (the blue thing) is kept moist by the water bath and humidifies the ambient air by means of airflow from the fan. If this sponge calcifies (as is so common with our calciferous water), it does not have to be laboriously decalcified with a lot of chemicals, but can be replaced for little money. With the German competition, you have to laboriously take apart each lamella, cleaned in a descaling bath and freed from lime.
The device has now been in non-stop use with us for a year and we are very satisfied. As a support in the winter months, I also bought the HU5930/10. Now the humidity can be kept constant and everyone feels comfortable. The devices are not small, but due to our circumstances they can be placed more or less inconspicuously.
The cost of the activated carbon filter is a bit high. However, it also swallows a lot....Pro

Price performance unfortunately failed
The Philips AC4080/10 is a good air washer, unfortunately we don't really feel that this device is sufficient for the living area of approx. 30m2. So the device has eigtl. not served its actual purpose.
It is now in the much smaller bedroom (approx. 17m2) and here it fulfils its purpose perfectly. Pleasant air to breathe and as a pollen allergy sufferer I have never had a single problem.Pro

Expensive high-tech, not fully developed
Air feels good, humidification in larger rooms or for the whole flat only partially effective. Individual rooms are fine. I am not an allergy sufferer and therefore cannot say anything about the effective effect, but it feels pleasant.
