Fulfils its purpose and then some
Setting up the coffee machine is easy thanks to the app but also well described on the coffee machine.
Many nice functions for different types of coffee. Other recipes also available on the app.
-The coffee grounds are quite moist. Adjusting the grinder must be fairly precise EPro

Never received!
2x the parcel arrives at the Belgian postal sorting centre and is IMMEDIATELY returned to the sender. Money held hostage for 3 weeks and incompetent customer service who can't explain why this is happening (you have to ask the carrier) and the carrier says you have to check with the sender! In the meantime, they've held 500 euros hostage because I can only be reimbursed if they get their parcel back...and I've done nothing wrong! Zero communication, you have to go and beg for information yourself from the human chat service. Real scam!

Expenditure
We bought this coffee machine because we were hoping for better coffee. Unfortunately, the quality of the previous capsule machine was not up to scratch. However, we now miss its size and flexibility (types of coffee) somewhat ... The cleaning effort was also a fraction compared to the new machine, which has to be cleaned regularly and at certain intervals (from weekly to every two months).
However, it should be noted that we have owned the machine for less than two weeks and this is our first experience. Who knows, maybe it will get better (at least we hope so).Pro

- Cappuccino foam not as promised but rather "foamy-thin"; too bad!!!

The machine fulfils all our expectations, we are very satisfied and can recommend the fully automatic machine. It's also nice and quiet and doesn't wake the toddler 😊 Our visitor also praised the separate milk system. Because the milk runs through a different tube to the coffee, cleaning is child's play and I think it's great that you can rinse briefly after every latte.

Loud, complicated, bad
I had several others before (Jura, Saeco, Bosch vero Aroma), this one was by far the worst, even the many settings couldn't disguise that. The volume woke up the whole house in the morning. I sold it again.

Perfect coffee enjoyment at the touch of a button!
The "Philips 5500 LatteGo" is an absolute enrichment for our everyday life! It's very easy to use and the variety of coffee flavours is impressive. I'm particularly impressed by the LatteGo milk system - the milk foam is perfectly creamy and cleaning is done in seconds. The customisation options for the strength and temperature of the coffee are also a big plus point. The elegant design fits beautifully into our kitchen and the workmanship is of high quality. I can recommend this machine to anyone who values convenience and excellent coffee enjoyment! 🌟

Missing sensors cause frustration - good on the outside, bad on the inside!
Important: No Rant rating. But I really give 0 stars because I would never order this machine again.
The only reason: Missing sensors for water & coffee grounds.
The machine makes a very classy impression and seems to have a high-quality finish, but the sensors are from the Stone Age.
The machine only recognises whether the water container is inserted or removed. The machine has no idea how much water is in the container! And that is fatal and constantly causes frustration and malfunctions.
Particularly annoying: If there is too little water in the machine, coffee is still brewed. Even if there is 0 water in it, the machine grinds the beans and brews hot air. Super annoying.
You then fill up with water, then the internal hoses have to fill up first - this then ensures that only hot air is brewed 2-3 times, beans are completely wasted and end up in the container.
The container has the same stone age sensors: it simply counts how often the machine has been used, not whether the container is actually full. Therefore, it can often be the case that if you empty the container from time to time, there are only one or two tabs in it and the machine still displays "Empty coffee grounds container".
All in all, I wouldn't buy the machine again under any circumstances. These outdated sensors spoil what is otherwise a really great product.Pro
