Windows Defender is better in every way, free, doesn't use unnecessary resources and doesn't have a dubious cryptominer in it

The product serves a purpose which is no longer necessary in this day and age. Windows Defender, which comes with every Windows installation, is very good. No one needs additional software.
Furthermore, Norton installs a cryptominer with the setup, which consumes more power than it generates income. Absolutely unnecessary.
With this, Norton has absolutely gambled away its trust. On the smartphone, by the way, exactly the same: Know many people who have massive problems thanks to the app (no reception abroad or all MB immediately used up).
Finger away!

I bought this from digitec in May 2023, and it probably lasted less than a week on my laptop.
You pay an annual subscription for anti-virus... you give them your money... all you want it to do is sit quietly in the corner, check for viruses, and if everything's okay, just keep quiet.
No.
Spam, spam, spam....
I was bombarded with messages about buying other Symantec products, about using their web browser instead, message after message after message....
In the end, I uninstalled it completely.
I can't believe I PAID MONEY to install spamware on my laptop. Never again.

Completely useless and only needs resources unnecessarily. Windows Defender is all you need!

Nobody needs a virus scanner from Windows 8 onwards, other than the Windows Defender itself. This is integrated into the system, protects better than any third-party virus scanner and does not create any new security vulnerabilities. In the past, it has happened time and again that virus scanners have had security vulnerabilities that made the system vulnerable to attack or leaked data. They also have the potential to block systems on the software side. The only solution is to completely reinstall the system.
Tip: Keep your Windows (preferably 10 or 11) up to date and activate Windows Defender. Switch on your brain where you surf and what you click on.
