    New defective

    ...although Nordmende suggests German quality, it is and remains cheap goods made in China!

    (Parcel from Galaxus did not arrive as promised on the day following the order)

    At this price, you get what you pay for. You'll even learn German for free!

    I was pleasantly surprised by this little radio, which does its job well. However, the brand's managers could have hired an ergonomics consultant, as the menu structure is so counter-intuitive. And, of course, it doesn't help that the instructions are only in German. Nordmende is (was) a German brand, but still...
    The sound is clear, even at high volumes (well, it's not Hi-Fi), and a bass/treble control would have been welcome.

    Well, what did you expect at that price...

    Bought for the bedroom.
    Quite okay for sleep volume, tinny sound when played loud.
    The sleep timer only switches the radio to standby mode, which means that the display light remains relatively bright even at the lowest level.
