I bought the fan for my Intel RTS2011lc, unfortunately it didn't fit at first, but I cut the connection to size. So the fault was not with the fan. The stadnart fan ran at full power in bf3 and made a lot of noise and still only brought the temperature down to 70 degrees. This one, however, runs pretty quietly at 50 degrees. Oh, and to the water cooler, the screws that came with it didn't fit in my radiator, they are too thin, so the long ones. Luckily I still had some from the water cooling system.

I used the fan as a replacement for a much thicker fan in an older Sun workstation, it's pleasantly quiet, but it's not quite as violent. Fulfils its purpose in any case, the operating noise of the computer is pleasant again :-)

On the Intel DH67GDB3 mainboard as CPU fan with an i7 2600K, the control behaviour is harmonious. In idle, the speed is 630/min as specified and the fan is barely audible from a distance of 50 cm. With Prime95 it goes up to 1550/min. Under normal high load like PTGui, the speed goes up to 1050/min and the noise is audible, but still largely quiet and pleasant. At the same time, the fan sucks away from a boxed cooler upwards and also fans the whole case. It is a flat CarPC similar to an HTPC. In general, these noise blockers seem to me to be among the most pleasant for a given cooling capacity, and I have tested and installed about 15 silent fans in the course of my tinkering.
