I put the navigation system to the test in Italy on the Riviera. Simply super. My friend was able to navigate to all her "shoe shops" promptly ... Phew! .. And was also thrilled. I would certainly buy a navigation device like this again... :-)

I can't agree with "laeubinl" either, quite the opposite: compared to my old Garmin, the Navigon actually finds satellites extremely quickly, even in a moving vehicle. The instructions say that it can take a few minutes to find satellites the first time you switch it on. That was the case with me, but only the very first time. Does "laeubinl" have a warranty claim?
I am completely thrilled with the functionality and navigation. What annoys me a bit, however, is the fiddly holder. Somehow I don't manage to remove the navigation device from the holder each time, I have to remove the whole holder every time. Garmin does this much better, even TomTom has a better solution.
Oh yes, another thing that's not so great: the battery runs out pretty quickly, especially if you leave the device in standby. When the battery is empty, it takes about 1 minute to start.
Why 5 stars anyway: I had a problem with a defective SD card. Since all the data is on this card, you are pretty much at a loss. I have nothing but praise for the telephone support (0848 number): only a few minutes waiting time, very competent and friendly, costs negligible (1.60). I have had completely different experiences with support from other manufacturers... ;-(
Tip: the 2 GB card is too small, even with a card update the capacity is no longer sufficient. Replace the 2 GB with a 4 or 8 GB card as soon as possible (order the card at the same time). I am very satisfied with the Navigon. TMC works perfectly. The route calculation is exact and the workmanship of the Navi is good.
