Overall a great throw from Microsoft. Comfortable and natural hand position for a relaxed neck and shoulders. Wrists tiptop supported. Keyboard very quiet with pleasant pressure point. Ziffenblock is extra, so that the keyboard is not too wide and the mouse must be guided too far to the right. The size of the mouse is obviously a compromise. For very small hands certainly too big. But if you have medium sized hands, you should be able to handle it. The relatively spherical shape takes some getting used to. However, the shape is deliberately chosen so that the hand (at the side of the mouse) rests relaxed on the table and you do not lead the mouse all the time from the shoulder joint hovering over the mouse. All well thought out! And last but not least a nice and pretty looking design and quality workmanship. I am completely satisfied (and not sponsored by Microsoft). My neck can relax now.
Generally a great keyboard. Works flawlessly for me under Linux as well as Windows 8.1.
The mouse takes a little getting used to at first, but afterwards it is very pleasant to use. Attention, you must not hold it "from above", but place the heel of your hand on the right side of the table. The mouse is therefore held "from the right". Otherwise, it is clear that you will find it unergonomic.
The biggest shortcoming, in my opinion, is the rubber coating of the mouse on the thumb. After just a few weeks, the coating starts to come off and, in combination with sweat from the hand, becomes sticky. This happened with my model at home as well as with the one in the office.

Best keyboard I've used recently. For a long time I was a fan of the white Apple keyboard, but to save my arms I have been looking for an ergonomic keyboard for a long time. Unfortunately, they have only ever been available with the "deep" keys. For me, this keyboard combines the advantages of the Apple keyboard (short stroke) with the advantages of an ergonomic keyboard.
The keyboard also comes with a mouse. This contains the wireless receiver inside. The quality of the mouse is debatable. Even though it is supposed to meet ergonomic requirements, in my opinion it does not, despite its slightly special shape. I also bought the Evoluent Vertical Mouse as a mouse.
The scope of delivery also includes a separate numeric keypad, which I find very positive. I don't need it very often, but at the end of the month when the bills have to be paid, it's quite practical.
Also, the keyboard does not come with 50000 unnecessary buttons. The function keys are double-assigned, as is the case with Apple. Besides that, there is only one additional "calculator" key, for whatever reason (the designer was probably also an accountant ;-) ).
Of course, the keyboard works perfectly under all common and uncommon operating systems. Only under Mac do I need carabiners to assign the special keys (Windows, Alt, Ctrl) as they are on the internal Mac keyboard.

The keyboard and mouse make a very good impression (magnetic closure, etc.).
The advantage of the USB wireless adapter is that the keyboard never goes into pause mode and is therefore less responsive (disadvantage: it uses up USB space).
The keys are quite flat, so they are somewhere between a normal keyboard and a laptop in terms of the pressure required.
All in all, it takes some getting used to, even if you had the old ergonomic keyboard.
The split space bar cures a problem of that old keyboard. For me, the enter key is also problematic because it is not clearly enough defined.
All in all, it's worth the money if you type a lot and want it to look good. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the ergonomics are worth the price.
P.S. Definitely not intended for left-handers!

The keyboard has a higher quality finish than the Comfort Desktop. The keys have a pleasant pressure point and are not so 'spongy'.
The keyboard is a bit larger than a standard keyboard and it takes a few days to get used to it.
With the mouse, you have to be careful to hold it correctly. From the side, not from above, otherwise your wrist gets tense.

Very good keyboard. I've been trying lots of different products over the year and I recently purchased that one. It took me about one week to get used to the shape.
The only flaw is the DELETE key is right next to the ENTER and is quite BIG so it's easy to press by mistake.
But overall it's got an excellent build quality and the shape is very ergonomic.
I used several vertical mice before and this one is a good compromise between a vertical and normal one.
I've been through pretty much all of Microsoft's Natural and/or Ergonomic products, starting with the V1. When my Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000 was about to go into the nursing home, I treated myself to this nifty thing. And beautiful it really is to look at. But it's also small, unnecessarily small. I can't really understand some of the design decisions. For example, the narrow return key, which makes you want to hit the unnecessarily wide exclamation mark. Or the missing distance to the cursor keys - my little finger got a cramp after a few hours. And then the separated NumBlock which likes to hide somewhere at the necessary moment. All in all, I called the retirement home after 2 days and asked for my half-disintegrated Desktop 7000 back. With the current market situation (and the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard not wanting to appear in Switzerland), death will probably part us.

The keyboard sometimes sends a letter endlessly, as if the key were stuck, but visually you don't see a problem. Also, some letters are sent erratically, if I type "will I" then the keyboard sends "will eich" so the e again after the space.

Great value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone who currently uses standard keyboard. I think it's one of few that got the ergonomics right.

In the past 8 years I bought 3 of these, all of them are in use. The oldest one shows signs of wear and also some of the buttons are not very reliable anymore, but I think a few keyboards can do that.
It is not a Bluetooth keyboard and thus requires a dongle. The upside is that I can use the keyboard with my desktop computer which doesn't have Bluetooth, the downside is that I need to carry the dongle when I travel for my laptop... I never lost a dongle, but if you lose it, you cannot pair another one, which is unfortunate.
PRO TIP: buy the smallest 3d nail stickers you can find (1-1.5mm is great) and stick them on the arrow buttons to improve touch typing in the dark (similar to these but smaller https://www.galaxus.ch/en/s12/product/i-am-creative-sticker-337-x-stickers-12088976?supplier=406802 )
There is a mouse included in the package, it is kind of a vertical mouse, but I don't use it much because it is heavy. If you like heavy mice you may like it, because it works very well on all kinds of surfaces and the resolution is quite good. If you feel adventurous, I strongly recommend this mouse: https://www.galaxus.ch/en/s1/product/swiftpoint-propoint-wireless-mouse-13434416

This review was created for a different variant: Sculpt (US, Wireless)
After 4 years of intensive use at work, I finally bought one for home. We all converted to the work mouse (45°), and the ergonomic keyboard. Great class!

This ergonomic keyboard comes with a mouse and numeric keypad and is a relief for the wrists. However, it definitely needs some time to get used to. I don't use the mouse, this review only applies to the keyboard. The wireless connection works perfectly, but the plug in the USB slot is a bit big.

I like the new edition of the Ergonomic Desktop.
The few negative points I listed annoy me a bit, but I guess I can get used to them.

Use only keyboard and partly number pad and both under MacOS X 10.11.x.
Fatigue on the keyboard is now a thing of the past. Small minus, as the keyboard is not designed for MacOS X and can only be made 'mac compatible' via the control panel.
Why the dongle for using the wireless keyboard/mouse is used instead of standard Bluetooth is a mystery to me and blocks a USB output uselessly.

Does anyone know if the USB stick can be reordered? I unfortunately damaged mine!
The keyboard is a great product though, the best keyboard I've had so far. The mouse sometimes has connection problems.

Be careful, I lost the USB/Bluetooth dongle and the set became useless. Dongles are not available as spare parts.
I've used a Microsoft Sculpt keyboard for a number of years, which partly explains my affection for it. I have one at home and one in the office and, in fact, in spite of the space needed to pack it, if I travel for more than three or four days, always take one along. I can imagine that it's best suited to touch typists.

No matter how positive all the reviews here are: One aspect is left out. The HW is tied to a single dongle. So if you lose the dongle when you move, you can throw away your mouse and keyboard. This is also discussed in the MS forum.
Thus: My mouse and keyboard, which are not 3 months old, are unusable because I have lost my USB adapter to which the dongle was attached.
Logitech does not have this problem. I won't be buying any more MS hardware in future.

Ergonomically a good set, even without a 10-finger system you can manage with it. The mouse is only suitable for right-handers, you shouldn't have too small hands. I don't know any other product with these properties as a combination and use them at 3 workplaces. Unfortunately not really long lasting - after 3-4 months the things start to go on strike, experienced several times.

we bought several of these for the office. The number pad very often has no connection.... Each part needs different batteries....
Main keyboard is pleasant to use. Better than predecessor and competitor products
