Unpack, set up, connect boxes, connect to router with internet cable, connect to mains, switch on device...done...30 minutes. The rest is fine tuning. Great!

I would buy again at any time.
Pros:
- powerful, rich sound, especially in bridge mode
- also a good choice for high-quality hi-fi speakers
- Very versatile all-in-one unit
- Clear operation
- Very good price-performance ratio
Cons:
- Beautiful housing but unfortunately made of plastic. But I'd rather have a nice plastic case than an inferior tin box.

Good device with not easy operation.
Very good device. Everything works perfectly in very good quality. Operation with the remote control or with the HEOS app is not self-explanatory and poorly structured. Storing and retrieving stations is totally different for DAB and TUNE IN. Logging into HEOS with the remote control is not possible without the operating instructions. However, this is necessary to save stations for everyone. Some improvements are still needed here.

Great hardware, very weak usability
The device is very well made. It has a great sound and has no trouble to drive my B&W floorstanding speakers. Even the digital functions such as AirPlay work flawlessly.
Unfortunately, it is not so with the usability. To find a radio station on DAB or via streaming is not easy even via the app. It's easy to save stations to a favourites list, but I haven't yet figured out how to recall them via the remote.Pro

High-frequency whistling
When switched on, the appliance emits a high-pitched whistling sound. Unfortunately, this is unbearable for children with good hearing.

Excellent compact music system
Perfect for good bookshelf speakers with good db output (ideal 90 db or more). For better sound quality, a subwoofer can be connected directly to the amp.

Absolutely super as a mini-receiver
I switched from Panasonic (not bad either) to the Melody X. Crystal clear sound. Find and save Internet radio directly in HEOS. Very worthwhile. 2 controllable speaker pairs are really great. The system is also expandable with wireless speakers. I'm thrilled. Great value for money (485.-)

Marantz M-CR612
2 - 4 loudspeaker boxes can be connected. These must be purchased separately. If you do not have very good installation skills, it is better to have this done by a technician from a Marantz specialist dealer. This will also take approx. 1 - 1½ hours. Ask for a quote! Have your WLAN password ready. During installation, you will also need an email address and a separate password. Channel programming is best done with the HEOS app and the remote control (download from the App Store beforehand).
Since the installation is very time-consuming and no decent operating instructions are included, I cannot give it 5 stars.Pro
