Great sound!
A detailed, balanced player with a touch of warmth that makes for a very pleasant sound. The violin isn't acidic, the trumpet isn't too high-pitched, and the soprano voice is well placed but not too high in the spectrum. A fairly full sound. Well-built, beautiful design that's both classic and original. After a few tests and unlike the Marantz PM6007 amp, the phase of the Marantz CD6007 player is reversed on the rear socket (tested with the Supra Cable AC Sensor and the Oehlbach Phaser phase detector). This happens frequently with Hifi components. You can use it this way, but if you use a filtered power strip (schuko) and a good power cable, you can easily reverse the schuko plug to be in phase. The result is a little more clarity, bass and fullness of sound. All in all, a very good CD player at a reasonable price.

Does not work
After switching on, it generally cannot read the CDs. It then works after repeated loading. I sent the device back and unfortunately only received a credit for the daily price and not the amount I paid. Strange practice. I will probably buy electronics elsewhere in future.

This appliance is a real pleasure to use. It's a shame that it was supplied with a Euro plug. Luckily I had an adapter, otherwise I would have been in trouble! Please change.

Excellent CD player
According to the What Hi-Fi testers, this player seems to have been seriously designed.
Whether it holds up as well as my previous low-end Pioneer remains to be seen. But the change is worth it.
I rediscovered my CDs with this new player, tested both players in parallel on my amp, connected with RCA cables on both, clear sound, everything is more precise. I'm delighted with my purchase.Pro

Price-performance top
The predecessor model CD6004 was finished after 7 years (SubError). I think the laser was at the end. Of course, I hope it will last a little longer with the CD6007.

Great CD player and value for money. Quite happy with the results so far.
Only negative comment was that the box containing the unit was so roughly handled that much of the polystyrene packaging was broken. Seems not to have harmed the electronics so I guess the packaging did its job.

Extremely happy with my purchase. The sound of the CD player is clearly better than that of my old, more expensive NAD player. The ergonomics are totally satisfactory. And the fact that I can read even DSD 2.8 MHz is a plus.
