This is a full feature OLED 1080P full HDTV from LG. Since each pixel is an individual OLED and it can be controlled independently, the contrast ratio is much better than a LCD panel. This great contrast ratio and the curved screen (which helps reduce specular reflection) makes the image really pop out, especially in dimly lit rooms. If you are coming from a Plasma TV, OLED is the obvious next step. Picture quality is much better than LCD TVs since there is no backlight. There is no perceptible image lag or artifacts that plague LCD panels. The TV supports smartphone display+audio mirroring (Android) using WiFi and also supports intel WiDI. The smartphone can also be used as a basic remote control and to upgrade the firmware of TV. I am using it mainly as a monitor for my macbook pro, using the HDMI port for both video and audio. Unfortunately Apple AirPlay is not supported. The TV has a few built in apps like Netflix, Spotify, etc, and the WebOS2 works fine. The TV remote is unique, since it has built in accelerometer (like a Wii mote) and can be used to control a cursor on the TV for activating various buttons. There are 3 USB ports on the TV to connect a hard drive / pen drive to play media off it. I noticed that the WebOS2 did not work well with the 5GHz WiFi, so had to use the 2.4GHz Access point.

This OLED TV beats everything. I receive via satellite. Programming these channels was a bit of a challenge. But once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake. 4K technology is not necessary. There are currently no channels that broadcast it. There are still a limited number of satellite channels available free of charge from the dish. But the channels that can be received via satellite in HD are perfect. It's like looking out of the window.
Superb OLED TV with an incredibly beautiful picture. Very nice black tones and super contrast. Beautiful, simple design. Small compromises in the sound (film) and depending on what you need in the equipment.
If you don't care much about 3D and can do without HDR and 4K, you should consider this device!

The device is insane. There is no competition for this price. No one needs 4K. The only annoyance is that the device is not immediately ready for use.
The picture quality is amazing.
As a small tip: If you use Plex or other Home Enter. If you use Plex or other Home Enter. devices, you must use Expert picture mode and set all accelerators and sharpness to 0, otherwise there will be unsightly picture errors.
1 point is deducted for the speed of the webOS, which is atrocious!

Top device for its price, no one else can match it...
UHD would be great, but not everything is broadcast in HD yet, so it's negligible.

Top offer at a hammer price. Hard to beat in this price range at the moment.
