Scanning works very well, even on a weak netbook still!
The quality of the image is not quite the same as from the flatbed scanner, but it is more than enough for a mobile application!
I would highly recommend the product!

It takes some time to get used to it, but otherwise it is very good.
Unfortunately, I have to revise my initially positive assessment. The idea is ingenious, but the device is afflicted with many teething problems. Initially, the mouse worked for a short time, but then the number of software crashes increased to the point where the mouse was completely unable to function. The mouse is not recognised, despite downloading the latest software. I have tried this on three different operating systems (XP, Vista, Win 7) without success. I could not even boot a hard disk with Vista after installing the mouse driver. Zero support from the manufacturer. Conclusion: junk, I would never buy again or only when the mouse is really mature. Too bad!
+ Text recognition good, but only within the limits imposed by the scanner (see below).
- Too big to be used as an "everywhere with you" mouse.
- Only useful as a scanner in extreme emergencies.
I failed even after 10 attempts to scan a passport photo up to the edge of the photo without errors.
Can't understand the comments of some users: Yes, the mouse is larger than average, but hardly heavier. If you don't have children's hands, you can be happy that with this mouse you can finally support a large part of your palm ergonomically. Most mice are so small that you have to push them around with two fingers.
I think the scanning quality is great for the intended use, as is the text recognition. The point is to always have an "emergency scanner" with you everywhere. And for this purpose, the mouse is absolutely ingenious and ideal.
Too bulky as a mouse and the cable is clearly too thick and stiff. I could only press the scan button with two hands, as it was too responsive for the thumb and then the left button was usually pressed as well. Scan quality never 320 dpi, looks like interpolated 100 dpi. The OCR works surprisingly well. However, wipe-and-wash scanning is tedious because the slightest lift of the mouse stops the scanning process immediately, which means it is less useful for books. Why do I still give it 3 stars? Because it's an innovative product, which I kind of like... (I returned it anyway ^^)
A heavy mouse that offers very good quality for scanning small texts and graphics from newspapers etc. and is easy to use.
However, it is not suitable for scanning whole A4 pages! Always makes mistakes in the margin (but OK for "notes").
Completeness of the scan leaves much to be desired in most cases and is thus of limited use.

Where do you see the .... mac...?
The inventor demonstrated the mouse to me. Works great!
