    Very functional, elegant coffee maker

Am very satisfied with this machine. Very elegant and also technically flawlessly designed for an Italian (sorry - used to have a FIAT...🥶).

Am glad, I have chosen a machine with double boiler. So there is always enough
steam for the milk foam while the coffee is still ready brewed - so the baristahandwerk fun!

Tip: Get a really good grinder. Otherwise, the investment in such an expensive machine is not worth it. The "cheap" ones simply don't produce a sufficiently fine and, above all, homogeneous grind. The water runs through the sieve at 7 bar in 10 seconds and the coffee is never good...
Have myself the "Eureka Mignon Perfetto Silenzio" and am satisfied with it. It is really pleasantly quiet.
But would now take the "Baratza Sette 270WI" in the package together with the Elizabeth. The built-in scale is really helpful when experimenting in practice.

    Only criticism of the Elizabeth:

    - Steam knob made of inferior looking plastic (should apparently be replaced in the new model year by what nicer).

    - The lack of water level indicator.
This can only be checked manually in the tank (remove lid - look inside).
The machine only reports on the display when the water needs to be refilled - and then suddenly nothing goes in the middle of the preparation - annoying.

    Addendum from 12.4.2021:
After exactly one year of moderately intensive use - I'm basically still very happy with the machine - the electronics went up in smoke today. I hope it is not a design flaw and the electronics are not placed too close and uninsulated to the hot boiler parts. Otherwise, this damage pattern is then to be expected more often (perhaps a FIAT :-( ...) Let's see how long the warranty repair then holds.

I received a faulty machine (and I don’t seem to be the only one)

I received a faulty machine, the water pump and pressure indicator did not work, and it started to smell like something is burning.

    Pro

    • It looks very elegant on my kitchen counter

    Contra

    • Couldn’t use it because it doesn’t work
    • The user manual lacks information about certain parts of the machine
    • The plastic temper is pretty low quality

    Super part, super price!

Very solid machine! Who prefers milk foam, is well served with this machine thanks to double boiler. In terms of price, it is about the dual-circuit machines, but has two boilers. After a short time, I got the first good results with fine crema. The machine is very easy to handle, has no frills and makes exactly what I want, good coffee, provided that the beans correspond to the good quality of the machine. I can only recommend the Elisabeth!

    Robust, good espresso machine

I have been using the Elisabeth for a few years now.
The machine is robust and well built, and produces enough steam power.
What really bothers me is the water tank. The hole is very small and you have to be careful with
the water jug to fill it,
or you have to take the thank out every time and fill it up.
The problem only becomes noticeable when the machine is placed under the kitchen cupboard.
However, this generally applies to many coffee machines.
That's why in future I will only buy machines with thank that can be pulled out from the side. Why there are still so few on the market (apart from the cheap Nespresso etc... machines) is a mystery to me.
A direct switch for activating and deactivating the steam boiler would also be desirable. Without having to go to the display menu every time.
The steam wheel on the right looks rather fragile. Must always be turned carefully and not with force,
could break. If you are used to it, it is not a problem. If guests operate the machines who are not very sensitive, it can be problematic.... ;-)

All in all, very satisfied with the machine, but would not buy it again, precisely because of Thanks.

    Pro

    • Stable brewing temperature
    • Robust

    Contra

    • Water tank
    • Steam on and off, in the menu, not directly

    Good machine for beginners

This is my first coffee machine of this kind, I only had a capsule machine before.
It does a good job, has a few cool features and has a lot of power to froth milk. You rarely find anything like it.
    I would say it's a good
entry-level machine that you can enjoy for a long time.

    Pro

    • Has a lot of power to froth milk
    • PID
    • Preinfusion
    • Warm relatively quickly

    Contra

    • Steam valve is not designed for longevity
    • Water tank is a bit dumb to take out
    • The enclosed tamper can be thrown away (it is only plastic)
