  Enormously powerful and deep, without any distortion!

  This subwoofer is by far the loudest and most distortion-free subwoofer I have ever heard.
  
  A short time ago, I thought that my hi-fi system could already achieve a lot in the bass range. But when I connected the KRK S12.4 for the first time, I was proven wrong.
  
  I would no longer call it a studio subwoofer, at least this 12-inch version is better used as a powerful home cinema subwoofer.
  
  But if you live in a block of flats or right next to neighbours, you're bound to have complaints. This subwoofer is also not for small rooms. With its approximate weight of 28kg and width of 60cm, it is not very handy.
  
  Conclusion:
  If you are looking for a subwoofer for the studio, home cinema or just for listening to music in the party room, you should definitely consider the KRK S12.4. Its enormous performance and connectivity are without question a rarity in this price range. more

  • Goes down very low (it reaches the specified 23Hz without any problems!)
  • Many connection options (XLR, 6.3mm jack and RCA)
  • No to very little port noise
  • Excellent processing quality
  • Also very suitable as a home cinema or party room subwoofer
  • Audio outputs with corresponding high-pass filter
  • Standby function fulfils its purpose
  • Phase and ground lift switch

  Contra

  • Power cable was not supplied
  • Low-pass filter only goes up to 80Hz (up to ~100Hz would have been great)
  • Protective grill and footswitch are not included in the scope of delivery
