Koenig Finessa
After 1.5 years in use I can state the following:
Initially, I was thrilled with the machine. The coffee tasted wonderful. From the beginning I had partly the problem that the suction pump did not work properly. That is, the machine did not suck water. Since it occurred only sporadically, this did not bother me further.
Interior with brewing unit, etc. is so constructed or too small, so that it always remains long damp in there. Say you have quickly mold in the pulp container and in the drip tray.
After half a year, the brewing unit was defective. The repair process was rather tedious. Finally, the machine ran again.
Then came the next problems: The grinder decreases after a year strongly, that is, the coffee tastes significantly worse than at the beginning. Despite the most intensive grind setting.
Meanwhile, 1.5 years after the purchase, the suction pump no longer works.
Conclusion: I had a lot of fun with the machine at the beginning, because it looked good, made good coffee and offers a great price-performance ratio. Meanwhile, after much trouble with the machine, I would advise against buying.
After years of consuming Nespresso, we decided to buy the fully automatic Koenig Finessa.
There are many reasons for buying it. But also those that can speak against it:
- Only 1 cup can be filled at a time
- Water tank relatively small; can only be removed / filled from above (be careful with kitchen cupboards)
- Koenig does not build any other fully automatic machines; other manufacturers are more "market-proven".
- machine only available in Switzerland, therefore few experience or test reports
- very few adjustment possibilities (water quantity yes, grind yes, coffee quantity no, temperature no, water hardness no)
But:
+ great design, from all sides (95% of fully automatic machines look top from the front + top and side +
back modest / bulky look)
+ very high quality workmanship
+ quiet
+ fast
+ very easy to use
+ very compact. There is probably currently no smaller fully automatic machine (we have been looking for a long time).
+ price performance (CHF 349.-)
+ removable brewing group
+ good coffee result with beautiful crema
+ cup illumination, simple height adjustment for practically any cup size
+ CH manufacturer
Conclusion:
If the above points bothers, should look at the bspw. De Longhi fully automatic machines (price performance equally attractive).
If the negative points do not bother you, this machine is a good option.
We still chose this machine because of the space, the design and the price performance and can clearly recommend it.

Relatively narrow fully automatic machine, which is however wider than the previously used Delizio machine. But since I no longer want capsules this is ok.
Coffee and crema are very good. Processing, design, coffee spout lighting and sensor operation are also very good.
Use the machine for about 1 1/2 months and it is so far good. What annoys me a bit: the Trester full indicator is relatively sensitive. Depending on how the "cakes" fall in, the warning indicator lights up already at half empty container....
What I "changed": On the non-slip silicone feet I glued 3mm thick felt feet. Why? So I can push the machine on the combination space-saving all the way back to the wall and when the water tank is empty, pull out the machine and refill the tank (which is at the back and can not be pulled out because of the Chäschtli).
Noise is clearly louder than Delizio, especially the painting is just loud (as virtually all).
Attention: if the water runs out during the output and you fill a full tank again, the machine -without warning- immediately starts again (that gave then a few times a mess).
The bottom line is that I would buy the machine again and can recommend it except for the comments.

I was quite happy with the machine for some time. However, it is relatively difficult to clean, mould forms relatively quickly in the pomace container due to its construction, and the sensors (water and pomace) did not always work properly.
