iRobot Roomba 651
Generally very good everyday helper

We bought the Roomba 651 as a small household help for the daily basic cleaning. With our dog, this is simply necessary every day. The device has no problems with the dog hair, even most carpets (Persian and high pile up to 30mm) are no problem. The only exception is our super fluffy carpet, which is very high at over 40mm. The sound level is also absolutely fine and it's great that you can set a 7-day programme. It finds its way back to the charging station without any problems. The suction power is okay for such a small device. Of course, it doesn't completely replace a normal hoover. We would definitely buy it again! Simply tip top! :-)

For less thorough cleaning, unless it is in use several times a week.
Very efficient to catch hairs from our pug !

It gets quite confused with large areas and repeats the same surface over and over, for very small rooms seems to work fine.

In test for one week, works every day.
Very easy to use and to program.
Sucks up quite well, it's a pity that the little rotating brush at the front doesn't pick up the small crumbs better.
A little too noisy if you are in the same room.
It gets lost easily if you have one or two pieces of furniture in the middle of a room like a dining table and a coffee table.
Did not test the virtual wall.
Works better than expected. We have stone floors and parquet with a few carpets. No problem for the hoover. Anything 2-3 cm high is no problem. It is now even clean under the sofa 😉
A bit louder than expected, so only run it at night if you are sleeping soundly. All in all, though, we are very happy with it. With two children and a cat, the daily crumb sucking will certainly be a thing of the past.

My iRobot Roomba 651 has a four-room flat with no thresholds and laminate flooring as its operating area, where it is allowed to let off steam about two or three times a week. It finishes its tour after about one and a half hours, and if there are no obstacles in its way, it finds the charging station again without a hitch. But the cleaning area has to be prepared, i.e. cables tucked away, no clothes on the floor, stand lamps moved away from the wall, chairs moved away from the table, then he can get practically anywhere. Although there are no pets, the bin is surprisingly full at the end, and that's after every round. Unfortunately, there are days when it avoids certain rooms, then you either have to lock it in the room or use the supplied infrared barrier to prevent it from returning to the charging station prematurely. Corners and overlooked areas where the iRobot cannot reach because of its size have to be cleaned manually. The device is programmable, but until now I have always started it manually, as daily cleaning would be excessive. The iRobot often gets stuck with cables lying around, the office chair with flat runners and an IKEA clothes rack, so these items are put aside before the cleaning tour. When the flat is damp-cleaned, it becomes impressively clear that the iRobot has already removed a large part of the dirt.
It only manages thresholds of 3 cm downwards, but not upwards. The kitchen and bathroom are always vacuumed separately, as it would not be able to leave these rooms.
I consider the iRobot a real help and would buy it again.

Cleans efficiently under and around furniture. Practical for daily cleaning, as you can do other things during this time.
This Roomba is simply a joy to use! It drives around the area a bit confused and often passes the crumbs, but due to the long battery life it usually manages to get all the spots. It's best not to look at it...or let it whiz through the flat when you leave the house - otherwise this confused way of working can drive you mad.
Otherwise, the programming is easy to use.

Very good robot hoover. Does its job dutifully and very well. Only a padding on the front would be desirable, but can also be tinkered with yourself (e.g. furniture felt). The operation is easy, the result is very good and the noise is not comparable with a conventional hoover. - We have a lot of fun with the device.

Very satisfied. The extra charge for the cheaper Roomba 620 was worth it, especially because of the virtual wall. This works great and makes cleaning large rooms more efficient when only one part needs to be cleaned (e.g. open dining room and living room).
Clearly: a vacuum cleaner robot (probably applies to all models) is a household aid, but does not replace real vacuuming. But it's amazing what the little one can vacuum up.
We would buy the Roomba 651 again in a heartbeat.
