The manufacturer must improve it.
Hello,
I only gave it 3 stars. The product is good, but the USB cable is only 70 cm long, which is short. If you have to buy another one, it will be 10-15 francs more.
But the biggest flaw is the power supply: it only provides 4 amps, which is not much for 10 ports, considering that in USB 3.0, each port should be able to provide 1 amp, and even 2 amps for the charging port.
In addition, the box states that the power supply is 5 amps, which is not true. So if you plug in high-powered peripherals, you'll have to buy a new power supply too. That's a lot...
But as good hubs are rare, I bought several for my own personal organization, knowingly.
You'll also have to see how reliable they are in the long term, so I'll see you in a few years!

High quality USB Hub
High quality USB hub. Due to its metal construction, it is relatively heavy and USB connectors can be easily plugged and unplugged. I use the hub on a Lenovo high-end laptop. Two devices I could not or only unsatisfactorily operate via the hub: iPod is not recognized when connected via the hub, Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse reacts too slowly. Both devices work fine when connected directly to a USB port of the laptop. But that's what I wanted to avoid with the hub...

Connected to my Mac Pro its ten USB3 outputs allow me to leave all my peripherals connected without having to remove a connection to plug in a USB stick or a client's hard drive.

When I connect a new hard disk to the unit, it throws out the others for a short time, which has the effect of interrupting everything that is running.
This is very annoying.

The same ICY BOX IB-AC6110, 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub I bought on 02/09/2017 for 79.95 Fr. and it was in use every day. On 02.04.2024 I suddenly could no longer use 2 of the 10 USB 3 hubs. I ordered a new ICY BOX IB-AC6110, 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub from digital.com on 14/04/2024.

Sturdy and functional
This hub does exactly what it needs to and is of excellent quality. It is a bit pricier than what I would usually pay for a USB hub but I do not see this breaking and it is perfect for my use, don't regret this decision at all.
It did not mention this in the product description, but this product also comes with a Velcro strip which offers a strong mounting solution that you can attach to most surfaces.Pro

I have the problem with my PC that when I connect several devices that are supplied with power via the

I bought the first ICY boxes like this 12 years ago. And since the newer computers seem to have fewer and fewer USB plugs, I needed another ICY box. We experimented with active and passive USB3 hubs in between. But they were never convincing.
