Garmin Hrm-Swim
As a long-time Polar user, I have now definitely switched to Garmin. The chest strap for swimming is very good. As a former competitive swimmer I was looking for a chest strap that does not slip away. Garmin nailed it! Also the recording without wearing the watch is very good.

I recently bought a 2nd because the first is now discarded.I use the heart rate belt with the Fenix 5X and was so far always satisfied. After more than 200 workouts, the textiles were so worn out and then torn that he can no longer be put on. However, I estimate that quite an acceptable life span, although I am disappointed that I can no longer use him because everything else would still work. I still own the triathlon version (black) from Garmin and can say in good conscience that this swim version is much better for the pool. The swim strap is less elastic than the other version and has an anti-slip material on the inside surface. Therefore, it holds up much better against the water resistance when you push off after turning. Unfortunately, it still loosens over time and then starts to slip. Then you just have to tighten the buckle again at the next break.
Once the belt sensor is back above water, it sends the heart rate data to the watch and you can view the maximum and average value of the swum "lap". After the workout and complete sync with the watch, you can view the detailed data as a graph, just like other sports. I can recommend the HRM-Swim for those who reel off their lengths in the pool.

Perfect, does not slip, the belt is detected immediately. Nothing to say
Good adhesion belt, which does not slip. Belt must be adjusted tightly. For me, unfortunately, the belt "lengthens" when swimming (length adjustment does not stay in place).

excellent to have a comparison of the evolution of the workout in terms of heart rate (bpm) as well as a more accurate indication of the calories burned at the end of the workout

Basically quite good product. Unfortunately, not compatible with all watches, eg Vivoactive HR. Also, the HR sensor always slips down a bit when turning in the pool.
