Boring device. I connect it and it runs right away under Linux. Together with my Beyerdynamic headphones everything runs perfectly.

Very small device to improve the audio quality of the laptop and to drive large headphones.
Used with the following headphones:
Sennheiser HD 600 (300 ohms), volume 2-3/10.
Bowers & Wilkinson P7 (22 Ohm), volume 1-2/10
Beoplay H6 (30 Ohm), volume 1-2/10

I bought the Olympus mainly to have a handy and quick to use volume control on the desk at work.
The DAC is very handy, reasonably made and needs no drivers. So just plug it in and go.
I was very surprised at how good and powerful this small and inexpensive headphone amplifier is. The sound over my AKG 712 Pro studio headphones is really top and I miss nothing.
The switchable bass boost is fun and is also interesting for movies or gaming.
I find it a pity that the control does not affect the line-out on the back. Thus, no LS can benefit from the practical potentiometer.
Due to the light housing and the pleasantly stiff potentiometer, the whole unit unfortunately tilts when you turn the knob clockwise.
If the potentiometer was a little more centered, you would not have this problem.
At this low price there are hardly any alternatives and I am very satisfied with the quality offered.

Excellent! No static whatsoever and is perfect for a 1-switch change from headphones to speakers! The sound is clear and pleasant and can compete with an integrated high-end chip from Asus, for example.

Very nicely finished, small headphone amplifier, equally suitable for desktop and notebook. I didn't know that my Sennheiser HD-25 headphones could sound so good.
Unfortunately, I kept getting digital noise when using it on my desktop, which immediately disappeared when I connected the FiiO Olympus2 E10K to a powered USB 2 hub (monitor). Since I use a relatively large number of USB devices, I suspect a power supply or energy-saving mode problem on my mainboard (GA-P55M-UD2). I had no problems at all on the notebook.
