Ecovacs Winbot W2 Omni
Hard/dried dirt (the kind you have to rub over 5 times with a cloth) cannot be removed by the robot.
However, "normal" dirt is removed very well. Pollen, rain splashes etc.
Can leave behind dirt residue when removing the robot from the window. Briefly wipe the area with a microfibre cloth and the window shines like new!
If you don't have a cleaning mania, you will definitely notice the difference on the windows!
Not suitable for extremely fussy people.
Well suited for the average Joe.

I can't imagine life without the Winbot W2 now. It may not clean as well and as quickly as people can. But it cleans the windows well enough for my needs. And it frees me up to do other things.
I’d definitely recommend the slightly more expensive version with a docking station, which I also tested. It extends the battery life and makes charging the robot faster and easier. The biggest drawback: you have to use the Winbot on battery power alone. It stops working as soon as the charging cable is connected.
If you have large windows, the window cleaning robot is definitely worth it. The investment of currently around 550 to 600 francs or euros is also reasonable – a robot vacuum cleaner is rather more expensive. For me, it means never cleaning windows again – at most maybe a few trickier bits.

First things first: the Winbot has exceeded my expectations. The cleaning performance is excellent.
You should first download the app, then install the firmware update for the Winbot (uncomplicated).
The built-in rechargeable battery makes the Winbot independent of a power socket and extension cable, which is great on terraces etc.. The battery lasts relatively long. But if I want to clean all the windows, I have to recharge it. It would be great if you could plug the Winbot into a socket when cleaning, if there is one nearby (indoors, etc.). But the Winbot doesn't work with the power cable plugged in (this should be improved).
The cleaning performance is great, but you can't expect miracles:
- of course you should clean the frame first (manually)
- Anyone who has ever cleaned windows knows that the remains of birds, insects, spiders, ... are very stubborn. Before cleaning with the Winbot, I recommend roughly removing these impurities with a microfibre cloth or the professional knife, the Winbot will do the rest.
The cleaning fluid supplied does not last long, so it is best to order more right away (cheaper in a 1 litre pack). I have not yet tried other cleaning liquids, but I am cautious as the cleaning liquid is automatically dosed and sprayed precisely into the cleaning area via fine nozzles. I don't know whether it works so precisely with other liquids...

We´ve been monitoring for these type of window robot cleaners for a while, but we were not convinced by the reviews until now. We decided to buy this one shared with my sister-in-law to make the cost a bit easier for both of us as the product is a tad expensive for my taste.
We tested the product on Windows which have not been cleaned for months, (we have around 10 meters of windows on the living room). I must say we were very gladly surprised we bought it, we had to make it run a couple of times on each side due to its dirt, but the robot was very effective reaching out to all parts of the window including the borders. If you have large windows I highly recommend this one as it will save you from having to manually clean your windows, especially if they are located in tall places as it can be hard ro reach. I think the cable is 5.5 meters long so it can cover quite a lot.

I have tried large window areas and several devices. Only frustration! The W2 Omni is the first window robot that you can use. The appliance and cleaning agent may not be cheap, but if I calculate what I save in time and nerves, it's a fair deal. I'm really satisfied!
