I got the Denon AVR-X2400H together with Jamo S426 HCS 3 5.0 speakers and I am overwhelmed. They are worlds apart compared to the old Samsung 5.1.
The set-up is quite easy, but takes a little time due to the calibration with the microphone. But the result is convincing. Music, films and games sound brilliant with the automatic settings.
With the mobile app, you can tweak the whole system practically from the sofa without having to go through annoying menus on the screen.
We have an NVidia Shield and a PS4 connected to the AVR, from which a cable goes to the projector. When the Shield is started, the AVR and the projector also switch on automatically, and the same when it is switched off.
The AVR automatically notices what is being fed to it and adjusts the sound image accordingly. This means you don't have to make any changes when you switch from music to film.
When the AVR is connected to the internet, you can easily stream music to the system from your phone using the HEOS app. I use streaming from the NAS server, which works without any problems. The music files are displayed with covers in the app and streamed directly from the NAS to the system at the touch of a button without a diversion via the mobile phone.
Also interesting, but not used by me, is Zone 2, which turns one Denon AVR into two, so to speak. Additional connected speakers can be assigned to Zone 2, which can be controlled separately in the app. This is practical if you have special speakers for listening to music or simply want to place a stereo pair in another room. Independent of the main speakers, Zone 2 can now play from a different source.
The remote control has four shortcut keys that can be assigned profiles. HDMI connection, music profiles and other settings can be stored in them, which makes it possible to switch quickly between watching a film and playing a game, for example. At the touch of a button, all the desired settings are adapted to the respective source. Very practical!

Top! Bought with a 499 share instead of 799. But even at 799 it is worth the price.
The speakers work perfectly!
2 Magnat 207 columns - Dali Zensor 5 columns x2 + 1 Dali Vocal centre - 2 Klipsch Atmos - 1 Klipsch 14 subwoofer - the best! As much for movies as for music.

Still up to date in 2021. Denon again and again. I had a short excursion to Onkyo. However, I was nicvt so quite coherent and have finally decided fpr this model. Does what it should and has enough connectivity.
Good receiver. Simple to use, great sound. HEOS function is definitely a plus and works great with 2nd zones. Worth the money!

Very good connectivity and good sound coupled with HP Kef.
AirPlay function very convenient to stream on easily.
The different sound modes are very complete.
The second HDMI output is very appreciated when using a projector.
