De'Longhi La Specialista Opera
Would definitely buy this machine again.
If you like good coffee or a cappuccino in the morning, this is a great value for money.
It takes 2 minutes longer, but it tastes like a barista. No lead time to heat up, easy to clean. It takes some motivation and time to use the machine to its full potential, but it's fun.

Takes some practice but it's worth it!

The coffee that comes out of the machine is excellent. It does take a little practice to extract the coffee as it should, but once you get the hang of it and are a coffee lover, this machine certainly won't disappoint.

Before I bought the machine, I had already tried very good espresso. I wanted to have the same experience at home, but unfortunately I didn't manage it with this machine. After trying out lots of different settings and types of coffee to get into the optimum pressure zone, among other things, I was never really satisfied with the result. Sometimes it is too bitter, too acidic or both at the same time and unbalanced.
Finally, I suspect that the grinder is not good enough. Delonghi is certainly going in a better direction with this machine, as it has 15 grinding degrees. But either it would need more grind settings or a better grinder that creates a more even distribution. That was the reason why I had to return the machine.
With the cold brew function, I have achieved a drinkable result with the right beans and it is well filtered through the portafilter so that there are no coffee grounds, but it is not similar enough in flavour to the immersion brew (cold brew) that I usually like to drink. As I'm not familiar with cold drip coffee, I can't make a comparison, but it might taste more similar as the water only comes into contact with the coffee for a short time.
For people who prefer to drink milk coffee drinks, the machine may still be good enough if you otherwise "only" have a capsule machine or a fully automatic machine. The steam nozzle is one of the better ones and the integrated tamper makes brewing relatively quick and without the risk of spilling coffee powder. Because latte drinks take a little longer to prepare due to the preparation of the milk, saving time can be more important in everyday life.
