The monitor arrived earlier than expected. It looks very bright. I reinstalled the driver and set it to 5k 120Hz. Connected via Displayport. All the necessary cables are included, including a DP, HDMI and Thunderbolt cable. And another type C as far as I remember. I initially switched off the 140W charging function because it is supposed to consume more power. A GeForce RTX 3070 Ti from an HP OMEN 45L provides the signal. I came from a 2K Dell U2711, whose display was comparatively dark. An opening in the base allows various cables to be kept ready, for example for connecting laptops, without the cables slipping off the table and having to constantly search for them. In the next few days I plan to connect an Alienware 18-inch laptop, which in the 4080 graphics version should also be able to transfer the image via Thunderbolt (in this case only via Thunderbolt). The operation of the monitor is interesting, you reach around the bottom right of the screen to the back, where the on/off switch is in a recess and a control pad (press/li/re/up/down).
The packaging is perhaps worth mentioning. No polystyrene, mostly cardboard, but also plastic protective film.
The base is rubberised on the underside to prevent damage to surfaces. The screen looks more like a lightweight construction in its plastic, but overall the monitor is quite heavy. I wonder if the bezel could be a little narrower. The sound is rather poor with no significant bass, but it's fine for me because I use Yamaha HS8 studio monitors with a subwoofer for sound output via a Traktor controller.
It may be a Windows 11 vs 10 topic, but on my previous monitor at 2560x1440 display the icons and labelling were too small under Windows 10, enlarging the display (scaling) distorted the labelling, you didn't want that. With the new monitor under Windows 11, the recommended native setting (i.e. at 5120x2160) is 150% and therefore also good for the older ones among us.Otherwise it works well and without any negative perceptions with the 125% scaling, also still easy to read and much more can be displayed, the minimum that is offered is 100%, here the icon size should be about the same as my old monitor and already rather small, also the font becomes very small. All in all, this is a decent level of flexibility without compromising on quality as far as the size display is concerned.
It was 200 Fr. cheaper for me (1499 Fr.) than the current price and also cheaper than from DELL directly.
Addendum: an Alienware m18 could be connected directly to the Thunderbolt (140 watts) of the monitor via Thunderbolt connection and set to 5K at 120Hz. This only works with the NVIDIA GTX 4080/4090 variants. A Surface Pro with i3 (Type C--> Thunderbolt) also delivered the 5K resolution at just under 60 Hz.

I have connected 2 of these monitors via daisy chain and a "normal" HP Elite notebook with Thunderbold4 connections can control both monitors with 120HZ at 5K2K. Connect headset and mouse/keyboard to the fold-out USB ports, connect Ethernet and I always have the same setup with all notebooks/PC without having to make changes and connect only one cable. The USB ports and Ethernet automatically switch to the other source when a different input is selected.
The only negative point I have found is that the USB ports of the 2nd monitor are not forwarded to the USB uplink PC via the daisy chain. If Thunderbold4 connection is different, then all USB ports can also be used by the 2nd monitor
Edit1: You can simply connect the USB uplink port of the 2nd monitor to the PC in the same way as monitor 1, then all USB ports will also work if the PC is not connected via Thunderbold4.

It was a difficult item to purchase since I had never seen it in action and of course with Dell, impossible to see in a showroom. I took the plunge and hoped for the best in the knowledge that I could return it to Digitec if it disappointed. However I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the screen compared to my previous two 27inch flat panels that it replaced. I can achieve full 5x2K resolution via USB thunderbolt from my Mac Pro M1 although I find the 3x2K easier to read for my aging eyes. It has freed-up valuable desk space compared to my previous set-up. I tried to use a Xantron articulated support to totally clear the desk, but the stand proved unsatisfactory and I was forced to return it. The supplied stand it fine though.

I had already been using the previous model (U4021QW) for several years and switched to this model because of the 120Hz, the 140W Power Delivery and the newly designed USB ports on the underside. Sensational monitor for home office use. I use it with a MacBook Pro 2023 (via TB4) and my Windows PC (DP + USB uplink). Everything works as expected.
The only negative point: the USB uplink cable (USB-A to USB-C) is too short for my needs at 1m. I had to buy an additional 2m cable, otherwise it wouldn't work with the standing desk.
PS: Special praise goes to the packaging of the monitor. Incredibly well designed and the monitor is ready for use within a few minutes.

First of all, the picture on the monitor is great and for me it has that familiar "retina" effect. So if you're simply looking for a very good screen, this one would be great! The specifications and coverage of the various colour spaces are also something you won't find elsewhere in this price category.
However, the KVM switch caused me problems. Sometimes the network connection worked, sometimes it didn't. The screen was sometimes recognised by Dell's own software, sometimes not. The sound usually didn't work (output via the built-in speakers). One of the screens (I swapped three) had clear stripes all over the screen and it looked as if the top layer was separating from the bottom layer.
On the Mac, which was connected via TB4, everything almost always worked. On the Windows PC, which was connected via USB-C, everything worked initially, but the next morning the KVM switch stopped working and even a complete reinstallation of Windows did not bring any improvement. The next monitor then worked straight away, but it was defective on the screen and the third one didn't work properly again.
As the KVM switch is an essential feature of the monitor for me (which is also why I chose this one), and it wasn't working properly, I finally returned the monitor.

The screen is perfect for home office etc!
Great picture
Good sound
Many connections
Good quality and packaging
The negative thing was that the power cable was an EU/Germany cable and not a Swiss one! Digitec should have written this or you could have added an adapter or CH cable....
Delivery was ultra fast but the fact that the parcel (in original packaging) was simply left outside the door without signature or personal delivery/acceptance is a cheek on the part of Planzer and Digitec! If we hadn't been at home (which Planzer didn't know because no lights etc. were on), the parcel would either have been rained on or stolen... This would then be a legal defence against Planzer/Digitec, which nobody wants. As I said, top speed but please coordinate better and don't just leave the parcel at the front door and run away (yes, run!)...
But back to the screen itself: TOP DEVICE, I CAN ONLY RECOMMEND IT! WOW
