After more than an hour of trial and error, I discovered that BT-W5 can only connect to certain Bluetooth devices.

Wrongly labelled by Digitec. It’s an audio transmitter.
I bought the stick to get better audio quality up to the B&W Px8. It works perfectly, but the difference in audio quality is not huge (but that's not the stick's fault).

The stick is great and thanks to its high level of security, nobody can tamper with it from the outside. Even if you wanted to.
The stick must be connected to the Windows PC/laptop if you want to change anything or pair devices. Nobody can connect to this stick on the go if you want to listen to music on your Smarty or watch something on YouTube. Only you yourself, as the Bluetooth function of the Smarty itself is cancelled and is no longer needed.
The disadvantage is that there is still no compatible app directly for the Smarty/tablet. You really have to have a Windows PC or laptop for it.
It's almost a shame, because you can't simply adjust the equaliser dynamically from the stick on the go. A corresponding mobile app would be desirable for Android.
In addition, the button to change the connected device on the stick is too easily accessible. If you want to put the Smarty in your (trouser) pocket and accidentally press the button for too long in your pocket, the list of paired devices is deleted and the devices can no longer connect to it. Then that's it, until you reconnect with the stick on the PC/laptop. The fact that there is no protective cap that can be removed to protect the button is very annoying.
Very good part, but not quite worth the price.
