I bought this printer because I print out a lot in my private life and my previous ink cartridge printer is a real ink guzzler. Therefore, I bought an ink tank printer to reduce my costs.
The print quality of pictures and text is much sharper than with my old printer (which was also designed for photo printing). The colors are very vibrant and rich. Refilling the ink tanks is very easy and quickly done. Even the print heads and maintenance cartridge can be replaced. Therefore, I hope that the printer will be very durable.
The printer comes without a color display but with a black and white pixel display. I think this is quite sufficient for the price, since you can control the printer via the Windows or iOS/Android app just as well.
It is best to add the printer to the network using the iOS/Android app. This is definitely the fastest and easiest way.
The only shortcoming I have noticed so far: It can sometimes take 1-2 minutes for the printer to receive a print job and start printing.
Since the last software update this seems to work much faster (20-30 seconds). I hope that the manufacturer will continue to maintain the software.
My conclusion: For the price, I find the print quality, the sharpness of printed text, the color image and the low ink costs ingenious. Since the print heads and the maintenance cartridge are replaceable, I hope to be able to use the printer for many years to come.
I hope Digitec will add the ink cartridges for this printer to their product line, because I haven't found a supplier that sells them yet.

It prints photos very nicely. Maybe it's always so fast...
When it's not in the WLAN, it gets tedious...
Canon service = catastrophe...
but... it prints very well :D

I ordered this printer because I know it from the shop. It's in use every day and needs nothing but light and love. The inks seem to last forever and there's no need for cables. Just plug it into the socket and connect it to the WLAN and you're done. Scanning and printing via the network works great.

The printer is not constantly busy cleaning, as is usually the case with Canon printers.
cleaning processes. It is not only economical, but also prints photos really well. What's more, a few software updates later, it's no longer a lame duck. It's ideal for private users like me who don't print a lot. The scanner is also good for photos.

It's definitely not the first device I've integrated @home into my network. Just to make one thing clear. I run 2 switches at home (once normal once PoE) and have an old Cisco WAP cluster for WiFi in use and apart from the fridge pretty much everything integrated into my network. I have a little idea about networking....
However, during one day I did not manage to connect the Canon to the network. The SW is not professional. I use Mac OS Big Sur at home, the Canon SW is just bad. When I manually connect the printer to WiFi and manually assign the IP addresses, the printer is simply not accessible (everything entered directly on the printer panel...). It says that the WIFI connection was successful, but I can't reach the printer via IPP or ICMP (it doesn't answer via fping and the ARP table is empty or has no corresponding entry for the entered printer IP).
Network is OS independent and should work without problems. I have checked and reconfigured settings like IP, Netmask, GW, DNS umpteen times. Everything has brought nothing. Unfortunately I don't have WPS, so it could possibly work.
I constantly lose the connection via the mobile.
Also, the printer was shipped without a USB cable. Luckily I still had one of those to see if I could at least test print through it. The printer would work with USB cable as well, but that is insufficient for my needs since it is a multi-person household and everyone needs to use the printer.
That's why I'm sending the printer back.
Either the printer was just junk designed network wise or it has a defect. In any case, it was frustrating.
