Scanner worked fine with Windows 7. Since I have Windows 8, the driver can no longer be installed. I keep getting error messages. Very disappointing customer service from Canon: their so-called "online support" did not bother to reply to my email. I'm done with Canon and will have to buy a new scanner for better or worse, and certainly not one from Canon.

Works perfectly with Mac OSX Lion - just plug&play.
The quality is good and the scanner has nice features: 180° flip-up, integrated stand, included transparency unit.

    I am very satisfied!

    Forgotten!

The software doesn't do anything under W7. Nothing but blue screens, but according to Canon support it's the computer's fault, or the USB cable supplied, or...

An older version of the software found on the
    internet now works reasonably well.
You can forget about the film unit.
Conclusion: a pity for the money.

    Extremely fast thanks to LED.
Software requires far less memory than HP's and ABOVE ALL: it doesn't tick all the time...!
The device itself is a bit more unstable than the HP scanner I had as a predecessor.
    Nevertheless,
    highly recommended!
