Good hair clippers
The Braun HC 5090 is a very solid hair clipper. I particularly like the precision of the cutting and the practical attachments for different length settings. The biggest disadvantage for me is that the intervals between the settings are too long. Nevertheless, the appliance offers good value for money and I am satisfied with it overall.

Good value for money for people with few demands
I only use it for my hair. I have already tried Phillips and Valera. This is my second Braun. It meets my needs. The finish is better than the other brands I have used so far, so I would choose Braun again in the future. The biggest disadvantage of the HC 5090 I see is the large distances between the steps. I need slightly finer steps and would therefore choose another, more expensive one next time.

- Steps in 3mm increments is too little
- Adjustment of the steps is a bit tight; be careful not to slip too far
Works well, until it breaks
I dropped it on the bathroom floor and a tiny plastic part broke and now it is not usable. I cannot find a new part for it.

Scissor head construction is the weak point
I've had this trimmer for a while, but I haven't used it much. Unfortunately, a very thin (0.3mm) plastic part that holds the blade in position broke. The replacement part costs more than half of a new trimmer. I am therefore looking for a device with a more robust shaving head.
