a disappointment
Full of expectation bought a "Swiss" product - the disappointment followed immediately.
The device hums permanently - no wonder, the loud fan runs constantly - why actually, power consumption, environment ?! Why also this superfluous blue lamp? It would have been better to install a UV LED for effective disinfection - but you can't sell overpriced silver strips (completely crazy: an ounce of silver costs less than 18 CHF, Boneco sells a plastic thing with the smallest amount of silver for over 26 CHF - with an ounce of silver you can produce 1000 of these strips - then better put a silver coin in the device). Same with the descaler-completely overpriced. I modified my device (since I luckily got it for half the price): inside wherever you look: cheapest components from China: all the mainboards, the sensors, the fan, etc. So it's a Chinese device, in other words. So a Chinese device, in Switzerland vllt. just assembled. That does not justify the price. I advise against buying it. Another tip: instead of the overpriced decalcifying filters, use decalcified water and leave the filters out completely. (Electric distilleries are cheapest in China and the electricity is always cheaper than what Boneco charges for the filters) Then you don't need to decalcify anything.Pro

Effective but with significant side effects
I've been using it for three months now and it's not working, but I'm not sure it's going to work, because it's not working. The so-called softening cartridge clearly doesn't work or works very badly (I'm on my 4th in three months). Given the quantity of water that this humidifier puts in the air (that's its job, we agree), the tiles are covered all around with a white film that sticks. So the humidifier humidifies but on the other hand ruins the parquet and tiles in a radius of about 2m.
So no, I don't recommend it unless you feed it with distilled water.
For the price I expected the softener cartridge to at least do the job.Pro

A real eye-catcher
I think it looks great in the living room, I really like the mist that comes out. Especially now in the winter season where the air at home is very dry due to heating, the U700 creates a pleasant humidity again. You can feel it clearly.

What I particularly like is that the device works very effectively and quickly. Meaning, when I get home, I don't have to wait forever for the desired humidity to be reached. It can't get too humid either, since I can enter my desired value.
