    Upper arm blood pressure monitor

I bought the first device just under 2 months ago. Now I've bought a second one because I'm so happy with it. I now have one for home and one for work.

I also took the device to the doctor and the results are the same. So
I can also get very good values at home.

    Pro

    • The device switches itself off after the measurement.
    • But you have enough time to copy the data.
    • It indicates cardiac arrhythmia with a separate sign.

    Recommendable

    Clear, well processed and explained.
Only switching from one user to another (M1/toM2 ) takes some getting used to.
I find the enclosed blood pressure pass for entering the measured values particularly practical.
    The value
    for money is absolutely right.

    ouch

I chose this because it was certified as accurate. Figured I couldn't go wrong for the price.

But. It hurts when inflated. If I try to make it looser, it either slides down to my elbow or gives me an error reading because
the cuff is too loose. Google search says that can happen with high BP, but mine is low (100/70). My other device inflates more slowly, is uncomfortable for only a second or two and then deflates quickly.

Also, if you have a thin arm, it's awkward to tighten all that extra material. It's just really bulky and stiff. My other device is softer and has a cloth inner material so it doesn't slide.

Readings are within 3 to 8 points of other home device (Beurer shows slightly lower systolic, higher diastolic). That seems acceptable. I'm glad to have two, to check them against each other, but I wouldn't choose this one again.

    Pro

    • display easy to read (after you learn the manual)
    • consistent enough with other home monitor
    • price
    • model certified as accurate by 3rd party

    Contra

    • painful
    • slippery inner material
