@Nemesis69:
I have had a similar problem for a few weeks.
In the Raid Manager, it shows "Error occured" for one HD, but the HD MUST still be in order, as it is a Raid0 and the PC still runs and boots perfectly.
Otherwise, I'm very satisfied, OC options are also available, but I'll leave that alone, you don't need it with i7. I tested it anyway and it works!
The board works great for me, it only has one drawback: Be careful if you want to install two graphics cards that need x16.
With larger graphics cards, you need an additional fan for a second one.
They cover each other, the PCIe slots are distributed very unfavourably for large cards, the 3rd white one is as described only a PCIe x4. and therefore unsuitable for very good cards.
I installed this board for a customer. After a few days in operation, an error message appeared stating that a hard disk in Raid1 was defective. Checked the hard disks, everything was fine. Probably Raid controller defective. When posting, you can only get back into the bios or boot selection after X attempts, otherwise it immediately rebooted when pressing DEL or F8. Until now I was a big ASUS fan and have almost only used ASUS boards. But it's better to invest a few francs more for a better 1366 board than to spend 199 on this rubbish board.
+have the board shon longer...
everything also worked well with 2 x 5770
...
-while gaming suddenly comes the bs
and one of the two graphic card slots did not work anymore
(have the graphics card in another pc and it works)
+oc went up to ghz without problems
Haven't had any problems with it so far.
It runs with an i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz and 3x1 GB RAM (unfortunately a bit too little RAM, as Windows 7 already consumes 1.5 GB when idle).
The board only gives me problems. The raid is constantly crashing, the box freezes, then the board only recognises 2 out of 3 RAM bars, and so on...
Then there is the general ASUS problem with the power management...
I really cannot recommend this board
very good board... now i'm building my third pc with it. one was damaged, but i already got a new one from digitec in a few days.
