I got this CPU as an upgrade from the Ryzen 5 4500 a few months back. Since then, there was (almost) only good things to say about this processor.
Performance: The performance of this processor is insane. In combination with an AMD Radeon 7800XT graphics card, i had absolutely no problem playing any games in 4k. Also, the performance is very close to the 5800X3D, which costs quite a bit more tho
Temparature: Under load this cpus temparatures go up quite a bit, so you have to get a high end air cooler or even an aio if you dont want to overheat it.
Conclusion: this cpu is perfect for anyone, who already has an AM4 system. I really wouldn't get it though, if you're building a new system, as there are better options on, let's say, the AM5 socket. The performance is definitely enough for 95% of the users. The fact that this cpu only takes a maximum of 105W (even though mine never went above 75W) is also something i really liked
I definitely recommend this cpu.

Powerful mid-range CPU, especially for gaming
I made a build in 2019 with a B450 tomahawk (Non max) - a ryzen 5 3600 - 32gb ram 3200mhz - a gtx 1660 ti.
This build has lasted me until today (24.04.2025) it is great. However, I've started to experience slowdowns in processor speed and I wanted to give my configuration a final boost.
HOWEVER, I didn't want to change the original cooling of the ryzen 5 3600. So I changed the processor and limited the PPT in the bios to 78 watts.
With the OCCT benchmark I don't exceed 83°C. and I can really feel the difference in fluidity in games! a real treat! I might buy another ventirad if I also change my graphics card to bring everything into line!
In games I reach these temperatures: Fortnite: 72°C - Helldivers 2: 74°C
I'm extremely satisfied because I think I've extended the life of my build by 5 years!

I have made a small upgrade from the 5700x to the 5700x3D and am super satisfied, approx. 10 to 20 % more performance depending on the game. This CPU is definitely worthwhile for anyone who wants a small upgrade. Very powerful even without overclocking.
