The Apple iPhone 16 in its basic version is a good smartphone all in all, but it has
it has many small and sometimes major weaknesses that should not be present in such an expensive device.
But first to the positive points. The device feels very high-quality and is fully protected against water and dust with IP68. It has a very bright and sharp OLED display with symmetrical edges and two outstanding speakers. It also supports wireless charging with the QI 2.0 protocol, aka MagSafe, and offers the Taptic Engine, probably the best vibration motor there is.
However, as previously announced, there are a few weaknesses. The display offers an absolutely unacceptable refresh rate of only 60Hz in the year 2024, which, together with the already rather slow iOS operating system, makes the device feel a little sluggish in everyday use. The Pro models and the Android competition have this better under control. Thanks to the lack of LTPO technology, there is also no always-on display option. The USB-C port only charges the device very slowly and only supports USB version 2.0, which leads to slow file exchange. There is no telephoto zoom camera and an inadequate cooling system for the Apple A18 SoC, which leads to rapid thermal throttling under load. The new camera button is a nice idea, but doesn't work particularly well in practice and is not conveniently placed. Finally, the surcharge for higher memory variants is too high.

Having switched from the 11 pro to the 16, the difference is noticeable, but that's normal for 5 generations apart.
I'm not sure, given the feedback from other users, that a switch from the 15 to the 16 would really be very useful ...
Also, the vertical placement of the cameras suits it better aesthetically, a matter of taste.
Other than that, it's a good Apple phone, and it's the interaction within the ecosystem that's really incredible.

A good & pretty phone:)
I switched from the iPhone Mini 13, but to be honest, I really regret it, I should have stuck with the Mini version, it's easy to carry and fits in my jeans or front pocket jacket.
Even the camera difference with the 13 mini is not much, the positive thing that I appreciate about this 16 version is the macro photo and the slightly better battery capacity.
clearly if there is a special mini version in the future, I don't hesitate to replace this iPhone

Don't come with a charger, just a cable, but that's Apple's policy - Galaxus can't do anything.

The iPhone is good.
The daughter was satisfied. She really liked the small size of the phone.
