I have connected my new Verbatim PMT-14 monitor to a laptop via USB-C and to a desktop PC via HDMI. When only one or the other computer is running, everything is ok. When the desktop PC is running and I switch on the laptop, I can switch from the PMT-14 to the laptop (i.e. from the HDMI to the USB-C connection) via the menu. If I then want to switch back to the HDMI connection, this does not work. The monitor stays black briefly as if it were switching, but remains on the USB-C connection. Only when I unplug the USB-C cable does the monitor immediately switch to the HDMI connection, which is then the only remaining connection. Can anyone reproduce this? Thank you in advance for your support.

I have my Verbatim and the monitor connected directly to the PC. Win 11 manages the connections. When I start the PC, the monitor and Verbatim start at the same time. Everything works perfectly. I'm not a specialist but I suspect you will need to reboot the systems after the switch. Good luck!

Big problem, I received this monitor in the post today and wanted to install it straight away. My goal: to improve the workflow at the workplace. But so far I have only had disappointment. The package very succinctly says: "...simply connect the monitor with USB-C. Very good compatibility...." Unfortunately, that didn't work, nor did the HDMI connection in conjunction with the USB-C. Power is supplied from the USB and that's it, the display always says no-signal. Our PC in the company, high-end with all connections, the latest technology, but the monitor can't seem to handle it? I've already tried a lot of things, even in Windows settings for multiple monitors - I just don't get anywhere.

Under Windows Updates, try installing the optional updates. This could help at best. For reference, try connecting a personal tablet with USB C 3.0 to the monitor. (Note: USB C 2.0 does not work). And: Samsung S series with DEX should also work via USB C. My devices work flawlessly (Win 11 Pro, Linux) with direct connection via USB C or HDMI to the monitor. Otherwise: Return the monitor. - Does the device also support Power Pass Through? That is, can it run with the mains adapter and charge a mobile at the same time? - Can the HDMI connection only be used as an input or also as an output? Can a projector, for example, be connected to the screen? Many thanks for the answers :-)

No QC or PD You can connect normal USB3 devices to the USB-A plug, it is like a 1 port hub. However, it is unsuitable for charging: It only supplies a few amps and the volts collapse. With an additional power supply, the volts are more stable, but even then it only supplies the normal 400mA. It only accepts 5V at the two USB-C inputs and therefore cannot deliver more than that.

Does this monitor have its own mains connection? I don't see this information anywhere in the description (maybe I'm blind). This would be important information for such monitors in general, as it would be crucial for the purchase. The power supply unit of my notebook has just as much power as my notebook draws at maximum. This means that it is not possible to power a second monitor on my Lenovo T490s via the USB port! Many thanks for the clarification. R.C.

The monitor is powered via a USB-C connection. A USB-C cable is included, but a separate power supply unit is not. However, the monitor consumes very little power; I always operate it via a power bank.
