Pure Highway 200
Pure Highway 200
I'm not sure about that. With the Highway 200, at least not via Bluetooth, which is only available from the higher versions 400+600.
In Germany it also works tip top you just have to do a new search of the channels so that you have the German channels on it😉 and then the same again in Switzerland.
A 12V USB adapter is included
When I switch off the ignition, the Pure also switches off completely, which was also important for me. About the ball head: since the device is very compact, I hold it with my thumb and index finger and press the buttons with my index finger, which works without any problems. I can't say anything about the frequencies because my radio has an AUX connection at the front, so the reception strength on the radio is better than with conversion to an FM signal.
A customer wrote to us directly by email: I have not installed the Highway 200. It was intended for my wife's car, but unfortunately the Highway can't receive the my wife's desired German pop stations. However, this is not due to the Highway, but to the DAB range of these stations. I have previously installed 2 earlier generation models in my cars, with excellent results. I can't really imagine that the lineout is signal strength and bass. Instead of transmitting via VHF (susceptible to interference), I would rather use a small preamplifier. preamplifier (e.g. Conrad) between the lineout of the Highway and the AUX IN of the radio. of the radio.
Yes, FM is of course in and works well.
According to the manufacturer's website, 3 metres. It was quite long, but I didn't measure it. But it needs a certain length to get the feed concealed. Along the door trim and under the steering wheel, you quickly need about 2 metres. So it might be tight from the rear to the front.
Yes, the unit then displays "Trafic" - similar to RDS. Excerpt from the manual: [...] You can set the Highway to automatically play traffic announcements while digital radio is playing. While the Highway is playing traffic announcements, the display shows "Traffic". [...] (The manual can be downloaded from the item description...)
Yes should not be a problem
Yes, the unit switches on again when the ignition is turned on. If it has been switched off manually, it remains switched off even when the car is switched off and on again.
According to my information, this should not be a problem in principle.
The antenna would currently be in stock at the supplier: Adhesive antenna for Pure Highway 200/400/600
Yes, I was able to save all SRF channels by changing location (to Bern) and searching again. Others have also recommended searching in the underground car park. Once saved, stations can be received anywhere. I am very happy with it.
The device cannot display traffic messages!
Cool. Thanks for the reply. Best regards
Since 2012, drs 1 has been called srf 1, maybe you'll find what you're looking for there
I have exactly the same effect. An enquiry at a Pure dealer has revealed that it should actually work. I should possibly try a channel search a little further away from the German border. But it didn't work in Zurich either. I'm curious to see if anyone can find a solution.
Hi @asserdigi, thanks for your reply. I can also receive SRF3 in the other car with DAB+, but unfortunately not with the Pure Highway 200. Can someone who uses the same device receive SRF3?
No, it receives DAB+ and routes the selected DAB station either via cable (AUX-OUT) to the built-in car radio (AUX-IN) OR the DAB station via FM/FM transmitter (transmission frequency ** must be preset) to the built-in car radio (FM reception - frequency according to specification **. The frequency ** should not be at an active radio station.
Car checklist (https://dabplus.ch/dab-im-auto/) When buying a new car, make sure that your car radio is DAB+-capable. Does your vehicle not yet have a DAB+ radio? Ask your garage for advice or buy a suitable adapter. Clarify the following questions: Which type of aerial do I prefer (windscreen or roof aerial)? A screw-in roof aerial guarantees better reception. A roof aerial must be used if you have windscreen heating. .. Let the search run in open terrain

Pure Highway 200: The maximum number of stations found during the scan is approx. 180. As "SRF" stations are in the upper frequency range, it is possible that the device will not find the SRF stations if it is in a good reception position (over 180 stations found). Go into a garage or underground car park and carry out another station search (possibly near a transmitter antenna with your station) - it should find less than approx. 160 stations, then your radio station is included. Then save the desired stations under "Presets", here they will always remain selectable. Station information at dab-swiss.ch
