The power supply unit of the Philips Hue Perifo base set can be mounted at one end of the track and not necessarily between the two tracks. There are special power supply units that are designed for wall or ceiling mounting and are fitted with a mains plug at one end of the track. This allows flexible positioning of the power supply unit without it having to be mounted between the rails.

No Hue Bridge is required to control Hue Perifo. You can control Hue Perifo via Bluetooth or connect a Hue Bridge to use all the smart lighting features.
