The ceiling mounted mounting box allows the height of each of the two cables to be adjusted individually to the desired height. The minimum height is the space needed to move the top cover and access the length control system, I think it could be less than 30cm or even 20cm. For the record, the maximum length should be close to 2m, which allows it to be mounted in rooms with (very) high ceilings. On the other hand, as the lamp lights up and down, I would recommend more than 45cm, but that's a matter of taste (and ceiling height... :-D).

Normal dimmers do not work because a transformer is built into the lamp to keep the current constant. You need a Hue-compatible switch or you leave the light on and use a Hue dimmer switch. After a short time, we converted everything to Feller 4-way rocker switches. Hue is simply too convenient.

A) No idea where the values from Digitec come from, the lamp has 5500 lm and as far as I know that applies to both models. B) No, there is a bluetooth version of the app, with that you don't need any additional hardware. C) I have it above my dining table, but note that the lamp (like all RGB lamps) looks relatively dark in colour. In white or normal light, it distributes well and I think it is bright enough for the workplace. The lamp facing the ceiling can also be controlled independently of the lamp facing downwards.
