Exactly, a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution doesn't work for 24 inches or larger, there's nothing you can do about it except pack it up and return it. Fortunately, you don't have to spend a lot on a good screen. It is very important to buy a very high resolution, otherwise text will be a pixel mud. Since Mac OS can also do excellent scaling, I recommend a 27 or 28 inch screen with 3840 x 2160 pixels 4K UHD resolution. You can also edit more documents on it. If the resolution is too small, simply use the scaling in Mac OS so that everything is displayed somewhat larger. Larger and razor-sharp. This one would be perfect, don't worry about the resolution, the fonts are pin sharp, this resolution is retina for our eyes from about 54 cm, i.e. you can't see any individual pixels. And it's silvery and white, which also goes well with the Mac :-). LG 27UL650-W LG 27UL650-W (27", 3840 x 2160 Pixels)
