Not necessarily. The sound chips nowadays are quite decent compared to the past. It's more a question of whether you need all the features of the sound card or not.
Hi Ballhead, Yes, the Ryzen 9 X3950 (OEM code: 100-000000051) is listed on the compatibility list (see https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON.html#support-cpu). For optimal operation, the mainboard BIOS may need to be updated beforehand. Best regards and have fun with your new PC!
Yes. Theroretically it's like ~4000MB/s. The fastest M.2 NVMe SSD for this board is about 3500MB/s. -> Samsung 970 EVO Plus (1000GB, M.2 2280)
Depending on the ram, these also work with 3200 MHz, but the bios must be updated for this. I have these myself: G.Skill Trident Z (2x, 8GB, DDR4-3200, DIMM 288) They work perfectly with 3200 MHz at XMP profile 2.
You can email AMD, they will send you a CPU which you then have to send back.
Since you still have a 3XX chipset and a 2nd GEN Ryzen CPU, you still have to update the BIOS/UEFI. To do this, you need one of the 1st GEN CPUs which you should receive free of charge from AMD. (Of course, you will have to send it back again).
It's best to ask the support directly. You could wait a long time here... https://www.digitec.ch/de/Information/ContactInformation
ryzen 3? you mean ryzen 2 series, don't you? unfortunately, you can only tell from the box.
Hier :) MSI B350 GAMING PRO CARBON (AM4, AMD B350, ATX) Grüsse
I initially operated the board with the memory. However, it only ran at 1866Mhz despite the latest bios. I would recommend G.Skill Trident, Cruicial Ballistix or Corsair Vengeance. I now have the latter in the RGB edition.
Hello According to MSI it supports ECC UDIMM RAMS (in non ECC mode) https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON.html#productSpecification-section If you look under specs in detail mode. Hope this clarifies your question and if I am wrong please correct me ;) Thanks and greetings
