The specifications are a bit meagre.... Does it run on battery, rechargeable battery or is a power supply included? Radio-controlled clock?

The device can be operated either with 2 x AA batteries or via a mains cable. The device obtains data such as the time via Wi-Fi and the app on the smartphone, so there must be an internet connection to display the correct time.
