I've just done a test on my Mac using a cable that wasn't Thunderbolt, and the device didn't work... I think that's what's causing the problem...

To connect the LaCie "robust pro (1000GB)" external SSD to a computer equipped with USB-A 3.0 ports, you can use a USB-C to USB-A adapter or cable. ### Available options: - USB-C to USB-A cable: You can use a cable with one end USB-C and the other end USB-A. This will connect the SSD directly to your computer via the USB-A port. - USB-C to USB-A adapter: A USB-C to USB-A adapter, often in the form of a dongle, can also be used. It plugs into the drive's USB-C port and provides a USB-A port to connect to your computer. These solutions will allow you to continue using your SSD with a computer equipped with USB-A 3.0 ports.

Probably yes. But the offer is only valid if you didn't have a subscription before. In any case, that was the answer I received from Adobe.

Helpful answer

Comes with USB3-C. However, the thing is very short and I would recommend buying something longer. However, the part is quite racy on the road. I use it for programming within a virtual parallel machine and even if the native disk is faster, it's really great for development.

According to the manufacturer, this hard drive does not support Mac versions prior to MAC OS X 10.6.8. The manufacturer also states that for optimal performance, USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 connections should be used, so if your Mac has a Thunderbolt 3 socket and its OS is not too old; you can transfer data directly using the Thunderbolt 3 cable.
