Thank you very much for pointing this out! We will have this adjusted immediately.
You need a hard drive with a USB-A connection ...
Should be, since Thunderbolt 3 is physically a "USB-C" port....
Yes a suitable connection cable is included in the scope of delivery.
Both. Without further comment: https://www.srf.ch/sendungen/kassensturz-espresso/garantie-oder-herstellergarantie-welche-gilt
At the end of the specifications you will find the function [Report wrong data], this should be more appropriate than a "Question about the product".
We have a link to this on our website https://www.digitec.ch/fr/wiki/5903 if you have any further questions about this please contact our customer service. :) https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/fr/requests/new
Just ask Lacie. There are no stupid questions. https://www.lacie.com/ch/de/contacts/
I have still registered. These devices last for years without switching off. So far I have never had anything to complain about.

According to our information from the manufacturer, this is unfortunately not possible because the foot together with the housing is a single piece.
Thanks for the message, has been adjusted.
It is a USB Type C. But the Thunderbolt port is also compatible with the USB 3.1 protocol.
No, the HD works perfectly for me on Catalina.
We now have the 16TB version in our range: LaCie d2 Professional (16TB)

The housing is made of one "cast" and unfortunately cannot be removed.

No, the hard drive has a (1x) USB-C connector that can transmit USB 3.1. Even though Thunderbolt 3 uses the same connectors, it is a different signal that is not compatible with each other.
Only one lamp which serves as a status indicator for the HD function...
Unfortunately, we have no information on this, so the status is set to "unknown". As soon as we have new information, we will add it to the product.
The speed limitation is "on the data sheet" the hard disk and not the USB 3.0 interface.
