In the GB-BACE-3160 that I ordered in February. It has a free slot for a RAM module. The M.2 port is occupied by the Bluetooth/WLAN module. It has a ribbon cable with a SATA connector for a 2.5 " SSD or hard disk, which is mounted in the bottom of the case. A hard disk can therefore be installed. The GB-BMCE-5105 is different. There it has a socket for a RAM module and a free M.2 connection for an M.2 NvME2280 SSD and additionally the connection for a 2.5 " SSD or hard disk. So 2 hard disks can be mounted in this model. I hope this helps.
Does the power-Led go on or ist it dark ? Did you doublecheck the memory DDR3L (with "L" for low power) ? Did you try to do a BIOS reset ? See here the specs: https://www.gigabyte.com/Mini-PcBarebone/GB-BACE-3160-rev-10#ov
"Unfortunately, I couldn't find this information anywhere at the manufacturer's or on the web in general. But with a bit of luck, someone else will answer your question." Or maybe you can find your question on the homepage https://www.gigabyte.com/Mini-PcBarebone/GB-BACE-3160-rev-10#ov. I hope I was able to help you a little.
