Hello Johann, of course. I don't have any experience in this regard, but a smartphone bought in Germany works perfectly well in Australia with a sim card bought in Australia. Have fun Bernd

The Doro 8080 is slightly longer than the 8040 and the camera on the back is not positioned the same. So unfortunately an 8040 case does not fit an 8080 model. I only found the right case at Doro itself. https://www.doro.com/de-ch/shop/other-products/accessories/wallet-case-doro-8080/
