This microphone has an advantage over many others in that it has a button to amplify the microphone signal depending on which device you plug it into (= change the output impedance). So it's not a 'noise reducer' at all, but an amplifier (with a battery to amplify the signal). Some device inputs pick up very weak signals and are designed for this, and others expect much stronger signals. So depending on the impedance (signal level) of the microphone you're plugging in, if you send a signal that's too strong for what your input expects, the sound will saturate (noise), and conversely if you send a signal that's too weak for what your input picks up, your device will have to try to amplify the little signal and will therefore add noise. So that's a fair comment, depending on what you're plugging the mic into, you can adapt the impedance with the knob (but there's no 'noise reduction' system).
Container ship? Such cheap stuff certainly doesn't come by air freight.
It works very well with the Hero 5, so I don't see why not with the 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeblDAxln6w
It feels like an eternity. I can't put it in hours. I bought this microphone in the summer of 2019 and have used it again and again for several hours. So far, I have never had to replace the battery. It feels like the microphone lasts for several days.
Also works wonderfully with video recordings.
Video recordings are no problem with my iPhone 8.
Maybe you have to buy an audio interface for a lav mic. or try to install the audacity program.its a free software for recording. Goodluck.
Yes, the microphone works with a 5D MK IV. I also use it with this camera. I am totally surprised about the very good sound quality and can really recommend it. However, I prefer manual sound control with the 5 in combination with this microphone. That leads to even better results.
I would say that will largely depend on what you connect it to. In the worst case scenario I guess you might experience increased static background noise. Also, you'd probably be wise to consider whether you want to split the audio with a Mono or a Stereo signal. Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9bBmWvAWL8
I use the microphone with the Lightning adapter and find the quality good. But I have no comparison with other microphones.
This mic is indeed PC compatible but the use of a sound card with a good pre-amp is highly recommended. Secondly, I do not recommend this type of microphone for singing or musical use. I would recommend a condenser mic like the Rode NT1 or NT-USB if you don't have an audio interface.
Battery in and switched on "Cameras" in the battery compartment? Is the right one selected in Windoes Recording Device, not only in the chat software? In the Levels settings, is Boost in? If all else fails, try Voicemeter Banana (Probgram). We just used 2 Micros in parallel yesterday in Windows 10 in OBS. Good luck
Because it is an active micro (usually better)
that will be difficult... in all likelihood you will already have echoes... I also used this mic provisionally for gaming. my buddies heard me a bit quietly, I had to speak a bit louder. if the game sound is not relevant, you can try it... but i wouldn't recommend it... then you'd better buy a cheap headset: SPEEDLINK THEBE (Over-Ear)
